I received an email yesterday from Best Buy promoting Overwatch and it mentioned the $10 rewards cert. For whatever reason the product page didn't mention the cert for a while, but that was likely just an error as it's back up now.

It didnt mention it all week long that I can recall while I was watching it. Gave in and ordered it on Saturday.

I wanted 2 copies and either the cart would only have 1 of the preorder metal art plates, or it would have 2 and charge $19.99. So I did 2 separate orders. not sure how itll handle it now.

 
I noticed in the $10 reward cert's: the Overwatch CE doesnt have the $10 cert., but the DOOM CE does have it.

Also, the Battleborn Digital Deluxe doesnt have the $10 cert., if you're interested in that.  Finally GCU doesnt apply to download codes, even if you're preordering a $75 digital deluxe edition.

If you wanted the Battleborn digital deluxe, you might as well sign up for a Playstation credit card and get an effective 10% cash back using that card directly on PSN vs using a 5% cash back credit card to buy a code through BestBuy.com

I did a price adjustment at some point, but it actually took away RZ points when it shouldn't have. (I purchased all with GC)

 
So, I'm thinking about it and I'm really considering pre-ordering Doom in case it flops and drops on sale before 45 days for Elite Price Matching. I want it but I kind of only want to spend $20-30 ball park range for it.

If you ever do a return at Best Buy or anything else that effects the price, you have to really watch your old Best Buy orders if you ever do a return or anything else that effects the price, especially if you've ever been charged wrongly for a shipping fee that you had reversed. It isn't on par withlike, Gamestop level of shanigans or anything, but it's not unusual for a few dollars to somehow get lost in the mixs.

They shafted me $100 on a tv pricematch. I forgot specifics but was around 1000 and I used the movers coupon for $100 off. Then it dropped 100 the next day, and another 50 by the time I got over to the store. Credited me only 50, trying to explain I only paid 50.

I said return it all, ring it up 850, then apply another coupon I have on me for -85, which would also bump it to a different protection plan bracket. They pretty much went back in forth on emails for over 2 months with me until it was out of return time and then just flat out ignored emails.

 
So I don't consider myself a "MOBA" fan, in fact I was never interested in the genre until I decided to try out the Battleborn beta. I ended up really enjoying it, and that's coming from someone that wasn't a huge fan of Borderlands.

So here's my dilemma.. Which game do you think will drop in value faster? Doom or Battleborn? I already have a backlog as is, but I'd really like to get one or the other.

2K games tend to go on sale quickly. Evolve and the Handsome Jack Collection are recent examples. I reckon you'll see a sale on Battleborn before Doom. It's more likely to flop IMO.
 
CAGs save the day! Thanks guys, I'd really get Doom, but really want that CE. So I'm hoping it'll drop in price in the coming months and I'll be able to snatch it then. Welp, looks like I'll dig into my backlog instead then! :-({|=

Wait... if a MOBA flops doesnt that make it a nearly dead game? Why wait for there to be no one playing it before you buy? Financial savings aside that especially doesnt make sense unless there is a single player component.
 
I'd wait for reviews on both TBH. They both could have excellent single-player campaigns. That way you wouldn't have to rush into buying to get into the multiplayer base.
 
I haven't seen anyone who is excited for Battleborn and Doom releases 3 days after Uncharted 4 so it probably won't sell that much at least on PS4. Overwatch is the safest bet of any of them to actually be a hit.

 
I have Doom pre-ordered and am really excited for it - assuming it turns out to have a healthy single player campaign; if they insist on warping Doom into some sort of MOBA (as hinted at by the multiplayer only 'season pass' and multiplayer focused trailed) then they can buzz off. 

 
I guess this is the most relevant thread.  Got an email today that my pre-order for Uncharted 4 was updated to include the coin.  I know some people were concerned about not getting it that pre-ordered before it was up.

Also Battleborn came loose, naturally.

 
Yea I just received an e-mail about that coin. I didn't even realize it was a pre-order bonus. I hope it's made of chocolate.
