Print off the gamefly page from Bestbuy.com and go to store and grab the gamefly case. Bring it to register and they will price match it there. Or at least they should. Then if you have the $10 gift card coupon give it to them. Some stores may or may not honor the coupon though. Mine did however so I was lucky. The coupon is in the coupon book they hand out back in media section. Hope this answered all your questions.

well this sucks...

check into account today and all the games that was in process have now falling back to Q list and nothing is shipping now
 
Ive actually havent had to much of a problem with the aside frmo the expected sihpping time to get to me.. im on the east coast so we have to wait the longest. Sicne they have implemented the "fast pass" or w.e its called system.. games have been getting here quicker though..

I also enjoy their rewards and they have great used game prices..

yea from the time i was a member i really didnt have any major problem (few lost games and over billings that was fixxed)

i ust hope my games ship out today so i have them by this weekend.... if not i will just go buy a PSP and play the PSP games i just got in the mail : )
 
how exactlydo you trick Gamefly into thinking your a new member? Would I have to use a combination of a new address, credit card and/or Name?

I'm just wondering how would they catch on to someone signing up again. Is it the Email or Credit Card Number?

if you buy it online they will send this little plastic box to your house..

you go to the address in the box and it sends you to

best buy home page

as soon as you put that info in (the code inside the box)

it then sends you to gamefly homepage where you put in all the info (name,address, credit cards, email)

i had an account with gamefly for 2 years and cancelled back in feb

all i did was use my cousins name who lives with me, change my credit card, used another email address and thats it

both games shipped today (took a day to ship , opened tuesday they shipped weds)
 
Hey they finally activated my account after I copied and pasted a very angry e-mail to 4 different departments. It only took them about 15 minutes and they straightened it out. Once my mom gets off the phone i'm going to listen to the message they left on our answering machine hopefully apologizing and maybe extending my membership for free if I'm lucky. HEHEHEH

they wont .... i had a problem with a game that got lost ... they told me to wait 7 days before i reported it... 7 days came on gone call back and they told me give it 10 days to report it.... called back 10 days later and they sent the next game...


they said they would give me extra time if i would stay with them for another month
 
I ordered this online with instore pickup. Went and picked it up today, presented the coupon, and was able to get it for the online price with the $10 GC and very little hassle (although there seemed to be some extra paperwork flying around... then again, there often is for me when I pick up an online order)...

the 2 week free thing does say 1 per house hold BUT nowhere on these does it say it... says new member but it dont say limit 1 per household
 
I've got 3 coming in the mail. I figured it was a good deal. I'm assuming this is for the 2 games at once plan that's normally like $23 and not the 1 game at a time plan.
 
Anyone know if these are full accounts or if they're restricted like trials are? To clarify, when I set up my two month trial there were restrictions on it while I was still in the trial period so that I couldn't get free shipping on items in their store(or if I decided to 'keep it') because I wasn't a full fledged member.

I just picked one up today with the $10 GC. After the PM, I showed him the coupon and he was like, hmm, i wonder if this works and then it did. He was just like, thats a good deal. The gift card he gave me was a GGC too.
 
I think it activates right after the transaction is completed and it puts the credit card that you used for the transaction on record for future renewal (you'll have to cancel at the end of the two months).

I cancelled my last account over the weekend and then made a new account yesterday with the card I bought from this deal. I used the same name and address as i've always used in the past but just made a new email account through my net provider like I always did. Everything looked good untill I just now checked to see if my games had shipped and see that they have my new account on hold and I got an email about multiple accounts blah blah blah.

I accidentally deleted that email when I was cleaing out the spam so I had to email support about how to free that subscription code up so I can give it to my "friend" to use... It's still tied to that account so I couldn't try another credit card on a new account.. Oh well it was fun while it lasted and i'd planned on leaving them untill this deal came along anyway. :D

use 1 of the memberships for 2 months.. then pay for a month at full price
leave for a month or two

Use another 2 month membership pay for a month full price

Noticed they stopped doing fast return around here....

takes 3-4 days each way... keep a game 2 days Figure you looking at 3X turn around (6 games at the 2 game plan)

What would break down to almost 4 bucks per rental on the normal price

im sorry BUt i would rather rent locally and gamefly at full price

local video store gives 1/2 for 9.99 per month

i could get 5 5 day rentals
i could get 8 2 day rentals

for the same price as gamefly just shows gamefly just isnt worth it .

Finally today they get back to me with this gem:

i heard they let a lot of their staff go due to profits starting to crash.... i got the same email for the last 2 questions i asked... used to hear back within 2 days now its 4- 7 days before you get an email back

rumor but i heard this is why they DROPPED the entire East coast shipping thing.. their profits are really starting to fall
 
Gamefly has realy gone downhill they wont work with u at all on the phone there rude they smart off they just dont care.

Now I have to waste my time with a crappy better buisness b complaint and I have no games.

I woudlnt advise anyone trying to use them at all if u have used them before I was told even if the name is diferent and the credit card I cant do one of these.

I was also told even if i move a million times that i cant start a new account.

I hope blockbuster puts them out of buisness they can buy constant airtime on g4 adds all over the net and in magazines yet they cant have more than one person working a damn phone line.

Yes I created an account for my wife and used the same credit card and it said a credit card cannot be used on multiple accounts.

I have found that with the limiting the number of games per month they basically stop fast return if you have rented many games. My new account I just created as fast return while my old account that is on it's 4th month no longer does. LOL. I emailed them and of course they blame the post office, even though my new account doesn't have this issue. I can't believe no one has sued game fly for this BS about unlimited game rentals when in fact it's limited to like 6 or 7 rentals a month.

this time has already expired to take this item back to best buy and they wont give me a refund on it .... I was going to pick up a 3rd one BUT i think i just Keep the 2 i got ..... Gamefly isnt that good anymore anyways

mostly just using them to rent DS and GBA games off of them....since i can get PS2, Cube, xbox 360 and PSP games for 50 cent each rental (compair to 4 bucks gamefly wants for each rental

I live in Cali, and it took around five days for my first game to arrive even though two were shipped on the same day. Took two more days for other game to arrive. I was a new member by the way.
