Kinda ticked they are rereleasing try blood seasons 1 thru 3 as combo packs, since I already own them, but what can you do. will be getting season 4. Nothing else this week.

And a hearty fuck you to HBO for re-releasing the first three seasons of True Blood as BD / DVD combo packs. :wall:

Thanks for the double dip.
Anyone see Coriolanus? Looked good but haven't gotten to see it.
I'd liken it to Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet; in other words, Coriolanus is an adaptation of a William Shakespeare play set in modern day but retaining the original dialogue. It's certainly competent but I didn't find it to be especially compelling. I think it was burdened by having to find a balance between the old and the new. I wish it had simply gone one way or the other.

Knew it was an adaptation of Shakespeare... Coriolanus is actually one of my favorites. Think i'll try netflix or redbox first though. Thanks!

Damn, I really wish the $10 GC for 3 Purchases to $14.99+ TV Show ran another week so I can get it for picking up all the True Blood Seasons on Blu-Ray.

Is there a pic of the True Blood shirt? I'll probably buy the season here since it comes with something. The shirt is a collectable to me, just like the Tru Blood drinks they usually sell.

Does price matching work the same if you used Upgrade & Save? Or will it only lower the final price, not the base price?

I hope HBO will start releasing other series as combo packs. I do alot of switching between blu-ray and digitial copies because I travel and like seeing the combo packs.

This may be YMMV, but I was able to adjust a recent purchase in this way and get 5 bucks back. The cost of the Blu was $19.99, 14.99 after U&S. The next week it was on sale for $14.99 and I was able to do the adjustment without any problems. Didn't need to do an override or anything like that, so I'm assuming this is standard.

When will BB realize that the SW blu-ray discs have been $90 since the day they came out!! Lucas pissed quite a few fans off, the set did not sell like hotcakes as you thought they would, now you eat it!!

It looks like the Best Buy version of the True Blood S4 BD with the shirt is $40 not $35--love how they call it a "free" shirt, but it costs $5 more, and that's probably the only difference. If that's the case, will prob just go with the Target version that at least comes with a bonus disc. (Don't need the Strike Back DVD screener--I will be picking that Blu-ray up anyway whenever it is released)

That's weird, I'll probably just head in stores and see if they'll fork over the shirt with the regular $35 True Blood S4 BD anyways. Unless they specifically packaged them out a certain way.

they are more then likely shrinkwrapped with the boxset and has a different upc/barcode. That's how most of the other free tshirt promos worked. So good luck.

For those still wondering what the shirt looks like

If it does end up being $40, I'll just skip it and get it at Target. I do remember that the website had Chuck Season 5 a couple of weeks back for much more but on release day it was cheaper and stacked with the upgrade and save coupon. So I'm hoping its the same this time (except for the coupon).

Ah I totally forgot why I hate Best Buy. Did in-store pickup on the Blu-Ray, come to find out the special edition with the shirt is $39.99 (makes no sense because the ad says you get it with purchase of the DVD or BR, which is listed right next to it for $34.99) and that I have to wait 24 hours to return it. They said I could buy it now then return the copy I purchased online another day, but I have work the next 5 days, so I wouldn't be able to. I now understand why Best Buy stores are closing.

Yeah, unfortunately.
I still picked up the set with the shirt though. Oh well.

I figure this is as good a place as any to ask: What the fuck is with the digital copy on True Blood? I tried to redeem it on Amazon but Season 4 doesn't exist. Am I allowed to redeem it on iTunes instead now? Can I use the Amazon credit for another season that it prompted me with?

Well I just redeemed it on both iTunes and Amazon...woo for $47 Amazon Instant Video Credits.

As for Season 4, it's up now?
Although it says it's only 28.99...does that mean I can use the other 17.99 on other amazon instant videos? That would be pretty awesome.

Edit: I see every other season is 3.99 each episode (which explains the $47 Amazon Instant Video Credits) but I guess Amazon has a sale for Season 4 episodes?
Oh wait it is 3.99 each episode for HD version. Even then the Whole season is $38 so still $8.99 left over.

FYI, you can buy this for $0.01 without buying an HBO set.

So are you able to use the difference in credit for other videos? I have no interest in the digital copies of the season but would gladly rent/buy some movies off of amazon instant.

They still tried to charge me the $.01 when I bought True Blood--they said "well, it's free, but it rings up as 1 cent. I can give you the 1 cent back if you want"!

I doubt this will work. I once redeemed a UV code and it gave me amazon credit, but when I tried to buy some other movie instead, it charged me instead of using the credit. I hate how Amazon only has the instant buy for digital stuff--I'd rather see it in my cart and verify it's going to use the right credit before I click buy!

What makes no sense is how both DVD versions were $29.99 whether you got the shirt or not, but for Blu-ray they charged $5 more for the shirt version!

^^^ Unfortunately the credit could only be used to buy True Blood.

Not sure if it's ongoing or part of this week's sale, but the Walking Dead S1 SE 3-disc (everything but the zombie mask) is $27. I said I'd buy it at $30 so I grabbed it.

Does anyone know if the 9.99 Blu-rays (X-men trilogy, alien series, etc.) with 10 dollars towards a ticket to see Prometheus end this week? Ended up picking up two since my girlfriend and I wanna see it. Any way to check if my local theaters accept these offers without opening it?
