Sorry if this was posted elsewhere, but my local Best Buy had a HUGE section of titles at 50% off near the front of the store--here's a list of the more notable deals:
 • Fire Emblem - Dawn of Radiance (Wii) @ $25
 • Final Fantasy - Revenant Wings (DS) @ $20
 • Final Fantasy Tactics (PSP) @ $20
 • Contra 4 (DS) @ $15
 • The Simpsons Game (PS3 / 360) @ $20
 • Puzzle Quest (Wii) @ $15
 • LEGO Star Wars - The Complete Saga (360) @ $25
 • Dragon Quest Monsters (DS) @ $15
 • Dungeon & Dragons Tactics (PSP) @ $20
 • Parappa the Rapper (PSP) @ $15
 • King of Fighters XI (PS2) @ $5
 • Conan (PS3) @ $15
 • SEGA Rally Revo (360) @ $30
 • Stranglehold (PS3 / 360) @ $20
 • Tony Hawk's Project 8 (PS3) @ $15
 • Rogue Galaxy (PS2) @ $20
 • Silent Hill Origins (PSP) @ $15
...there were quite a few more titles, but I've tried to list the best of the bunch; and, as usual, don't forget stupid sales tax.

*jaw drops*

I so wish my Best Buy had these deals...

 • Fire Emblem - Dawn of Radiance (Wii) @ $25
 • Final Fantasy - Revenant Wings (DS) @ $20
 • Final Fantasy Tactics (PSP) @ $20
especially Fire Emblem for the Wii :whistle2:(
This is like, what, the 50th topic of this magical clearance in fairy land?
You live in Fairy Land? Let me guess: San Diego? or France?

...in any event, I snagged The Simpsons Game (PS3) and King of Fighters XI at my store (Cortlandt, NY), but I'm severely tempted to go back for Final Fantasy Tactics (PSP) and Fire Emblem (Wii).

The BB near me in Philly doesn't even have a Clearance section near the check-out.

these topics should be put in the regional section. seems these clearance items are never nationwide and ymmv up the ass.

I would pick up the Simpsons for $20 but my BB never has any of these clearance sales.......but I will still check tomorrow when I go to return some monitor cables.

Yeah, the BB closest to me doesn't either. The other two near me have their "clearance" packed with late PS2 games and Wii and DS shovelware that cost
No luck here in Emeryville, CA. Definitely a random act of BB.
Thanks, man. Saved me a trip. :)

i feel your pain bro, none of the best buys in houston area ever put stuff on clearance

Gee, thanks. I guess I'll drive the 1,200 miles to score these deals....

Regional. Deals. Thread.

Best Buy clearance is EXTREMELY YMMV! The items that find their way into the bin or whatever your BB may have is totally up to the manager, along with any other unadvertised deals they may have going on.

My local BB has a 360 messenger kit free w/ $50 game and purchase of 360. Also, a discount on GHII with purchase of 360. I'm willing to bet no other BB has this deal. Take these Best Buy finds a something you probably wont find and suck it up... lol

its pretty much also decided by how much stock of that specific game they have left and if they are or arent receiving them anymore. if its a game thats been deleted or discontinued in the system and they have a low stock of it, they will try to get rid of it as long as the manager approves it to be clearanced, but most stores will still want to sell it at full price so its completely YMMV.

I didn't read this thread earlier, but I was near Best Buy today and checked. I had gotten Geometry Wars and Jeanne D'Arc there during the last round of 50% off, but there was nothing new earlier this week. Today there was.

Saw Fire Emblem for $25, PS3 Conan for $15, and PS3 Stranglehold (collectors edition) for $20. No Final Fantasy to be found.

Picked up Fire Emblem.

The magical clearance does exist, but depends on the manager and store. It's very frustrating.

My local BB usually doesn't have jack, but I swung by there today while I was out and they did have a small selection marked 30% off. Sega Rally @30% off the $59.99 price tag didn't exactly get my heart racing with excitement. Big thumbs down on the whole deal.
No Final Fantasy to be found.
Part of me feels guilty for leaving Final Fantasy Tactics behind when it was only $20; but the rest of me is too busy trying to find time to dig into my massive backlog to give a damn.

My BB has a "clearance" section near the game guides that consists of open-box/repackaged merchandise (almost all accessories) that are maybe 5% off MSRP

I went by the store in Huntington Station, NY and saw the following at 50 % off:

Assassin's Creed SE (360) - 69.99
Two Worlds SE (360) - 69.99
Gears of War SE (360) - 69.99
Blazing Angels 2 (360) - 49.99
Stranglehold (360) - 29.99
All-Pro Footbal (360/PS3) - 9.99

There were some others but that's all I remember off the top of my head.

Damn I wish the Best Buys in NYC would do this 50% off stuff >.< I kinda want sealed versions of those SEs...

BB in Mass had a similar deal on Sunday. Its the only day I've seen it so maybe its a Sunday thing, but only notables were Halo 3 CE for $35, Blazing Angels 2 for $20, and King of Fighters for 11.
So maybe it's just a regional thing. Good lookin out anyway guys.
It's not even regional. It's store-specific. I never quite understand why people post these threads in the main section. If everybody posted their Best Buy deals, then there would be 100 Best Buy YMMV threads on the main board.

Unless the deal is a confirmed markdown for all stores, threads like this should belong in the regional-specific thread. I don't see why that's so hard for people to come to grips with.

Assassin's Creed SE (360) - 69.99 Regular version now is MSRP $29.99
Two Worlds SE (360) - 69.99 I don't think it worth over $20
Gears of War SE (360) - 69.99 Regular version now is MSRP $29.99
Blazing Angels 2 (360) - 49.99 Is not worth $20 in my book
Stranglehold (360) - 29.99 I got this $ucker at Target for $15
All-Pro Footbal (360/PS3) - 9.99 is worth $5 :)

Calm down buddy......Nothing to come to grips with. As long as YMMV is in the title and the store location is in the first sentence, I have no problem with getting it on the Video game deals page. I hardly ever read the regional pages and when I do it's just talk about the local mom and pop shops in Indiana.
Calm down buddy......Nothing to come to grips with.
Yeah, because I'm SO upset...

Anyway, it's not MY idea. The mods created specific threads like this on the main page to keep all of these store-specific deal threads from getting out-of-hand. That's why you see a Kmart thread, a Target thread, etc., so people aren't posting their finds in their specific stores that don't apply to anyone else. I know there are some good deals at some stores, however, a store in New York's clearance deals mean nothing to most of the posters on this site, and the main page has become more and more cluttered over the months and last year with threads that are store-specific.

That's why the mods had these threads created. If it wasn't a widespread issue, then these threads and the regional forums wouldn't exist. So, I'm just explaining how the site is supposed to work, not my own ideology. Sorry.....

I went to the Best Buy nearest to my house a few days back after reading this thread and found nothing.

Today I went to a different BB across town and they had about 20 360 games that were on clearance including the ones mentioned by the OP. I picked up the Simpsons.

This was at store 217 in Aurora for anyone else in Colorado that wanted to check it out. The clearance games were still in lock-up but they had a paper list of clearance games sitting on top of the lock-up cases listing all the new prices.

But it's a little more than regional, even though it's substantially less than all stores.

The OP's store is in New York. Mine is in Orange County, California. They both have the same clearance (though his was a little better than mine). Should we make two regional threads? Three? Five?

Clearly, the information that Best Buy has put the titles onto a clearance list is useful, even if it is frustrating for most people. You might not find exactly the deal the OP found, but you might find some sort of discount.

As a side note, five miles up the road from the Best Buy where I found the same clearance as the OP, I went to a Best Buy with the following craptactular clearance deals:

PS3 Conan $26
360/PS3 Bladestorm $48
PS3 Genji $48 (oh yeah, that'll sell)
360 Two Worlds $48

Except that there have already been about a dozen other threads with the same YMMV Best Buy info over the last few weeks and yet people still continue to start new threads. I don't have a problem with one master thread, but this is getting really ridiculous, especially since people keep forgetting to put the specific store in their posting or responses.

Exactly my point. :applause:
Exactly my point. :applause:
Um, no. That wasn't your point at all. Your original point was that threads like this belong in the regional area.

But, rather than argue about that, it sounds like everyone would be happy with a single YMMV Best Buy thread (similar to this one for Wal-Mart). I wonder why the Wal-Mart one isn't stickied, though? One of the problems with these things is that they drop off the radar from time to time.

I'd be happy to create and maintain a thread like this. I've been the beneficiary of a couple of nice Best Buys, and I'm still monitoring this clearance for a few titles.

Um, yes. Please read posts CLEARLY before you respond. Here is my post from earlier with my points bolded that clearly state my point that these threads should be in either a regional thread OR a chain-specific clearance thread:

Anyway, it's not MY idea. The mods created specific threads like this on the main page to keep all of these store-specific deal threads from getting out-of-hand. Nice try, though. Thanks for playing...

I can vouch for this, they've had these clearance sales forever ive seen that shelf that they wedge in the middle of the aisle since last summer, they are definitely the best deals if they are the games you want, they have yellow stickers, games are not the same though, These are the titles i remember seeing last.

*note these are the prices after the 50% is already taken off, the location is Paducah Kentucky.

Harvest Moon: Boy and Girl(PSP)-$15.00
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2(Wii)-$10.00
Bee Movie(360)-$20.00
Dynasty Warriors Gundam(PS3,360)-$20.00
Two Worlds(360-$10
Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2(PS2)-$15.00
Parappa the Rapper(PSP)- $10.00
Dead or Alive 4(360)-$15.00
Dead or Alive Extreme 2(360)-$10.00
Locoroco(PSP)-$10.00
Hot Shot Golf Out of Bounds(PS3)-$30
Red Steel(Wii)-$10
They both have the same clearance (though his was a little better than mine).
Not gonna lie. I chuckled at that statement.

I think there should be a new video game deals section, so that this one can be left full of posts alerting people to the Store specific Best Buy Clearances and the Gamestop 50% coupons that only work in some places and get a new thread every day. Nothing personal subby, as your intentions were good. You're just the latest in a long line of Best Buy Clearance Posts that are literally store specific.

Use your regional forums, peeps.

is there a regional thread...I'd like to check that out to see if there are some good deal going on in my region.

Ditto for my Best Buy in Vancouver, WA. This is actually the 2nd or 3rd time I've seen a clearence table there.
I picked up for the DS some DBZ card fighting game $19.99 50% ($10)
and PS2 Vice City Stories $14.99 50% ($7.50)

A few other ps2 titles I was interested in that were in the $10 range after the 50% off, but was too concerned over quality in order to pick them up.
Justice League Heroes
Syphon Filter - Dark Mirror
Hack vol 2
a whole bunch of sports games crap
2 different naruto games.
They also had a few wii games
Trauma Center 2nd Opinion, Fantastic Four, a golf game? (All these were $20-$25 after the clearence)

a few xbox 360 titles for that were 59.99 then 50% off, but I don't have one so didnt peruse the titles that closely.
