So long as you keep everything intact and sealed, items bought in advance but refused price protection on the day of the sale can always just be returned normally. So you have nothing to lose other than some time.
Yeah you can return it but you won't get the Black Friday price.
You will if you rebuy it. You know, exchange for the difference. The reason people buy, return, rebuy, is so that they're assured that the item is in stock.
so lets say i'm going to buy the apex 27" tv for 200 bucks like a week before black friday. on black friday, i bring the unopened and sealed apex tv and return it and rebuy it for the black friday price of 89.99. is that buy, return, and rebuy theory?
Thats a lot of effort
It's very little effort compared to standing in line for some awful length of time. The whole point is that you can wait until late afternoon or so beore going in to either get the price protection or refund. Keep in mind, most of the items aren't going to be major sources of exercise such as a 27" TV.
That APEX 27" TV could come in handy for that price since my regular unit is going to be in storage for several months. I'm very reluctant to move it out of storage until I have a fairly permanent location. Since I'll be renting a room near the contract job I'll be performing for the next few months, 27" is about the right size to fit along with my PS2 for games and DVD playback. Using HDLoader I won't even need to have a lot of physcal space for games.
