i went to bestbuy to price match my star ocean from CC. they didnt give me 10% difference and they didnt accept my GGC. what a bummer.

Target's website lists Jak II at $40 and SOCOM at $50. Think there's a chance of getting some MEATY rainchecks off of those, or will the stores regocnize them as budget GH titles?
 
Trust, as always, great job on bringing the cheapass info.

Thankfully, it's finally a week where there's nothing I want, having no PS/2 or being a Crackemon person, and with Fable already pre-ordered.
 
Not much action this week. Unless you're still in to Pokemon, and I haven't bought a Pokemon game since Gold / Silver were released.

im sure nothing for PS 1-2 plus cause it was to come out in Aug and these things are printed up weeks in advance but i doubt u see it on sale
 
trustcompany: i know this is off-topic, but did you happen to see any cheap-ass microwaves in the ads for target or best buy?!?.........i need a new one for my dorm since my other one died (bought it from best buy and it croaked after only a year :( )

Pokemon Firered 20$ after GGC is an awesome deal. I'm also one who has not bought into Pokemon since Gold/Silver so it should be more interesting.

If there is a Value City near you they have microwaves for around $30.
I don't know how good they are but its cheap...

Sept. 14th - Release date from Developer/Publisher.
Sept. 15th or 16th - When some Gamestop stores will receive the game and will start to sell them.

He told you the 15th because that is the day his shipment will arrive. The title is not big enough to warrant the expense of a same day sale. Remember there is shipping time from the developer/Publisher/Duplicators/Distributers to where ever your store is located. Mine is in upstate NY and we will receive it on the 16th. As far as pre-orders go, we can meet every one. Patience is the key and remember if is not a big title (Madden, Halo) it will be a couple days after the release date when the title will be available for purchase. Unless you are in Texas or California and a couple of other states, then it will be available the same day.

Well in response to that... Our (GameStop) stores in NorthEast Ohio will have Fable Tuesday (the 14th) in the afternoon via Freight. I would at least assume a fair amount of stores will also have it in other regions.
 
mvp for 25 aftere the GGC is tempting but i waited this long, i can wait for it to get under five dollars in about six months

It is $39.99, though someone earlier in the thread pointed out that they're probably covering their $10 GC with the upcharge in price.

I'm curious if they'd PM it and give you the GC, since you could get it for $38.99 with a PM.
 
Wow, this really sucks.
Anyway, I went to Circuit City last Sunday, looked for Chris Sawyer's Locomotion, not there.
I picked up a rain check.
So, after almost a week after it's release, it's still not on the circuitcity.com website or at my store.

Anybody else pick up Locomotion at Circuit City?
Good deal for $20 and if you have that PC Gamer coupon, you could mark it down to $10.
