Best Buy @ Costa Mesa PMs Amazon.com, is this a nationwide policy?

So last week I returned GoW3 to the BB in Costa Mesa and when the employee asked the reason for the return, I replied that Amazon had a lower price. He then told me that in the future I could just print out the Amazon page and get it PM'd in the store and that this was a new policy for BB.

Was this just the rambling of a single manager or has this been implemented at every BB recently? Has this always been in place?

This would be great for me as I don't have Prime and I wouldn't mind paying the tax to get the game in hand right away. Also I oftentimes have RZ coupons and giftcards to BB that I get from my law school.

This would be so awesome if it was nationwide now. I have tried in the past and been shot down.

Anyone else have any luck getting them to do this?
 
Yeah, BB would become my number one company if they PM'd Amazon.

Think of the possibilities, like the Golden Axe game for $1.94...a BB clerk would never notice that it wasn't 'sold' directly by Amazon, or that shipping would come into effect..god, imagine all the opportunities..plus you'd get the game in your hand the same day!! :D
 
I recently got my local best buy to price match Amazon (SoulSilver), Newegg (Phantom Brave) and Gamestop (Call of Duty: World at War).
 
Ah I see. Ok thanks Shrike. I guess I'll just have to keep going to that Costa Mesa BB (it's the one near South Coast Plaza) then. Well to anyone living in the OC be sure to go there if you want to PM Amazon!
