Best Buy: Dead Rising Off the Record 10$ in store YMMV

Just got back from Best Buy in South Austin (by Slaughter) and they have a slew of Dead Rising Off the Record with a * tag on them. Asked what it meant, they said it was 50% off. It was priced at 20$, so I picked up two copies at 10$ a piece. No idea if it is just the store clearance, but it is a good deal

Just stopped by BB in Houston at gulfgate central mall it was
20 but I had a RZ coupont for ten dollars :) hopefully I haven't been ban from there . I traded in 10 Disney Universe games last week for a huge profit :) Does anyone know when Asura's wrath is going on sale ?

Well being a Best Buy employee this is very much what several stores did with the Skyrim CE some time ago. That isn't a standard for any store or corporate thing. That star usually means it is only at that store through management discretion. It can happen if said store has a very large stock of some games and they just aren't moving. So lucky find for the OP, wish my store would do that. haha
 
whinterfell, what does skyrim ce go for at your store? We have tons in stock at mine still listed at 100. I am hoping for a bigger drop. We practically never (ever) drop games below what they ring up at, even though I wish we did.
 
I went in to BB tonight to get my $50 back on SW:LE XBOX, and looked at DR:OTR and it had a tag of $30, I didn't bother taking it up to ring up, I asked the Video game specialist he said he had not heard anything, he isn't the normal guy I deal with(sadly that guy got promoted :( ) He did not even know about LOTR CE mark down, and he thought that Disney Universe was still on sale... I wish Casey had not gotten promoted, I'll have to train a new guy

Ohh he did tell me that he figures that Skyrim:CE will get a huge clearance soon cause they have a huge stock in the back, they had to move them cause little kids were ruining the boxes climbing all over them
 
Hmmmmm...may have to go check this out tomorrow since the SPM store is just around the corner from me.

And that's 410/San Pedro. I think we've established at this point that this is very YMMV.
 
^ this is def a YMMV. Just got back from the Waterfront (south pitt) and it was marked $30. In fact there were no "clearance" games at all. And the used section was way to unorganized to even bother looking for anything concerning the other deal this week.

Did you happen to see if the AC:B CE was still sitting there for the PS3 for $30? I was there this past Sunday and was considering picking that up for a friend if it's still there.

I'm heading back there on Sunday to pick-up my $3 DNF. heh~

Lot of places have been rotating the price as low as $79.99 which made the value plummet. I have an unopened CE that I got for $40. Tried selling for $80 on CL and no biters. Shipping kills it for ebaying. That being said it is a cool CE/Statue
 
I think we can mark this as dead. 3 pages and nobody seems to have duplicated the deal other than the OP's store.
 
My next closest BB store(Wilkes-Barre, PA) had 3-5 copies of Dead Rising 2: Off The Record as of this afternoon and they were clearly marked $19.99 on the shelf. Not as good as this YMMV clearance, but better than $30-40.

$19.99 is MSRP now. It's even $19.99 on XBL and PSN.
 
I thought that $19.99 was the MSRP price, but I wasn't 100% sure. Either way, I still can't believe I fell for the Capcom bs by buying this after already having owned the original Dead Rising 2.:cry::whistle2:#

i would have probably gotten it if not for getting dead island. its hard to go back to dead rising after playing that.
