Hoping the Blu Ray version drops down further than the current price. If it's around 50 then I'll get it and also hoping for Sonic Generations.
Tempted to pick up the DVD set. (Don't own a Blu-Ray player and I don't see myself owning one for a while, if ever.)

Trying to remember if I even liked any of the films past #3, though. Hmm.
#4 Goblet of Fire is amazing
#5 Order of the Phoenix is good. A little boring in the middle, but Bellatrix, Luna , and the last 30 minutes more then make up for it.
#6 Half Blood Prince Pretty good for the most part besides the fact that they really never say why its such a big deal being a HBP
#7 Deathly Hallows 1 is the best HP movie and one of the best movies of all time for me. Must see
#8 Same as #7.
HP collection was $10 at Target 1-2 months ago.
I'm assuming that was in regular DVD though? If it was on blu ray...then I hate myself for missing that.

Everybody knows that the first movie was the best.

I would agree with you...

To me, the one "scene" that pretty much makes EVERYTHING come together in the HP universe is the Snape's Memories segment.. Probably my favorite part in all the movies combined.

Half blood prince got me addicted, went back and rewatched the others after because I felt I missed something which I did. Total HP head now

Come on BB only a few more days left in the year. You can still redeem yourself for 2012! If not Microsoft Store will win CAG's Retail Deal of the Year!

In effect the results suggest that Dragon NaturallySpeaking is scheduled for Dec 31, 2012 DOTD. However further research is necessary before we can reach any firm conclusions due to factors that could include Video Game Specials Today Only offers.
what did microsoft store have?
Pretty much every 360 title for $10. Everybody considers it the greatest sale, but personally I think it sucked because everything sold out in a matter of moments.

From them I picked up two Diablo 3's, Skyrim, Prototype 2, Dues Ex HR, Max Payne 3, and Gears 3. only $70+ tax =D.
But lets try to keep this thread on topic though???
#4 (Goblet of Fire) is pretty much the best film of the bunch. BTW: Are any extras (e.g. deleted scenes) from the films included in either the DVD or Blu-Ray collections?
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire:
Sat 12/29 ABC 8:00PM-11:00PM East Coast

Gaming deals for next week:

1/1/13: Call of Duty: MW3 (PC) - $19.99 ($30 Savings)
1/2/13: Xbox Live 3 Mo Subscription (SKU: 6509131, just in case) - $12.99 ($12 Savings)
1/3/13: Max Payne 3 (360/PS3) - $29.99 ($30 Savings)

Movies:

12/30: Harry Potter 8-Movie Collection (DVD & Blu) - DVD - $29.99, BD: $59.99 ($40 Savings) - (The prices may be incorrect seeing as how my spreadsheet shows the savings, not the actual price and the item is on sale right now.)
1/4/13: X-Men Trilogy Blu-ray Pack - $39.99 ($20 Savings) (But it's on sale for cheaper than that right now...)

Another quiet week I suppose...

The sale lasted for days and they restocked several of the titles. They even prime-matched prior to Cyber Monday at the b&m.

which is why it shouldn't be considered the greatest sale.

Harry Potter Blu Ray shows for $45 on the main page... not sure if I should bite or not (it's a great deal but I just know I'll be able to get it cheaper before I ever even crack the damn thing open).

Microsoft sale was the best Black Friday (I bought 10 games total, 2 of which Wal-mart pm'ed for me) but I loved BB's sale a couple weeks ago wherein you could get top-tier new titles for 15-20 after the gift card. Several awesome deals this season and my backlog is crying now!!
Fukurou, I did not include pricing in my post because I understand the current price displayed on the site does not reflect Dec 30, 2012 DOTD price.

Ah, I see. I saw that the normal price for the Blu-Ray was $100 and it was knocked down to $80 now. And that the regular one had a normal price of $80 knocked down to $40. I thought those might be the DOTD price, but if it'll go lower than that, I might get it. I skipped over the last couple of movies, so getting a chance to own all of them is pretty sweet. Thanks, Son of Man.

Does it include digital copies? I'm a sucker for digital copies.
I'm pretty sure they don't...which is a bummer for me =(

Anything under $50 was my sweet spot though so I'll pick it up since it's like $6 a movie?

I mean what are the chances it'll go less then $40?

Not bad when harry potter 8: midlife crisis and the limp wand comes out in 20 years.
That Harry Potter deal is tempting, especially since I just got a $68 gift card for trading in my old phone.
Some of the reviews say this box set is bare bones with no extended editions and no special features, so you might want to research it some more first.

Thanks for the heads up. I will have to pass on this then!

Hmm, I bought all 8 movies of Harry Potter recently on Blu Ray for $60. Debating whether or not I should keep the 8 individual or return it and buy the box set at Best Buy and get ~$10 back.

For about the same price, I would recommend the region free UK set from amazon. It has three more disks and will play in your us player and tv.

The gift cards unfortunately do not work on Amazon UK.
What are on the extra discs?
The last 3 movies are 2 disk sets with the bulk of the special features on the 2nd disk. I am a big Harry Potter fan and I feel like the UK set is by far the best value.
