yeah I heard you can buy together in one transaction..I "over thought" and had them scan my 2 cards separately as when I tried to checkout online it had only allowed me to add 1 to cart (I did this just as deal was running out of stock..hesitated too long and item was removed so I think they limited amount near the end of the online portion.

However I went to the store and bought 2 there. maybe should have grabbed 4 a year plus 3200 points sweet deal. Any way 2 better than none

Back from my local Best Buy. The employee had to get more cards from the back. I bought 4 all together. The Microsoft points code print on the receipt.

Before I drive all the way to Best Buy, I just want to make sure, if I grab the in store 3 month card, I'll get it for 12.99 plus the free 800 msp code printed on my reciept?!

If they were this price all the time maybe they would have 80 million members rather than 40 :D
Just hit the best buy in Westland, mi for more cards. The cashier didn't know about the deal and couldn't figure out why points kept coming up. Still a lot of cards and it's still working in store.
Glad you got some I saw you had same issue as me, some in cart but waited too long LOL. I was very frustrated but happy to find in store worked just as well. Now wondering, should I have bought more..lol but I feel good I left plenty for others.

I have a 12 month but I don't play often enough so I did not want to use it, this is perfect, couple of 3 month ones will get me through the year (leave a gap for downtime when I am busy working.

Yes, also do as I did ask them to confirm you can see it come up on the chekout screen scans shows 12.99 screen flashes and adds 800 pts. It gets printed and they ask for email so they send them to you as well.

Ordered two online at 3:00 AM. Picked it up today and got the MSP emailed to me after the pickup. 3 months of live and 800 MSP for $13 is a steal.

Honestly I am amazed this deal lasted all day. Even if you say a 3 month card should be MSRP $15 (12 month rate) they are still selling $25 MSRP (card + points) for $13. Now the reality is that most 12 month cards can be gotten for $40 so it is really $20 for $13 but then you can get 1600 point cards for $15-17 so I guess it is like $17.50 for $13. Best case from this Holiday was New Egg 12 month for $35 + $10 Target 1600 point cards. So $55 for 12 months and 3200 points vs. $52 today. Kind of seems less impressive now but I still bought 8 of them.

Picked up 2 in-store and got the 800 MSP codes on my receipt.

Make sure to pick up this EXACT 3 month XBL Gold card for the $12.99 price, all others will ring up at normal pricing.
and if they do restock they will probably just get eaten up and put up on ebay by the dick bootys at slickdeals lol.
LOL your right..I love the site but saw some who claim to have bought up to 40 cards. No wonder these deals die to stores kill them. Surprised more stores don't add a limit like 5 or so (sure people could use different accounts but most would not bother or have enough CC's to bother)

Very true, shows the "real value" of these things I guess. I bought 2 1600's at Target (BF that had seemed best deal ever) and wished I had bought a couple more and a couple of 3 months back then at $10 now I am glad I did not.

This one is like last years 3 month $7.99 ( I missed that one) so to deal with increase they throw in some points...I can live with that :D

I just came back from buying two of them. The points were on the receipt, as well as in the emails. The guy seemed to know what he was doing.

I got 2 earlier. The points are added automatically. You just have to wait a few seconds for the computer to add them. Considered getting more, but I just bought a 1 year subscription for $35. Should be good for a 1.5 years now :)

Got one online around noon. Got the code around 2pm in my email. The 3 month card just shipped. Best deal since the $10 MS Store deal.

Yeah - I was pretty ticked when my order cancelled online!

I was working in Toledo, so I ran over to a store there and bought four. Came home to Michigan and bought two more. Stopped by another Best Buy and they had a bunch.

I haven't had gold in going on a year. This was just too good of a deal to pass up. Even if it meant going into Best Buy!

Too late for me to run to the store (I'd have to risk a speeding ticket to get there before it closes unless it's still on holiday hours)...but online they are "sold out" so pffffffft. Not sure how a virtual item can be sold out but oh well.

Just got back from best buy trying to get the 800 points code that was missing on my receipt when i bought 3 cards, and after talking with the manager they finally got it to print out the code on a new receipt. They did tell me that they weren't allowed to take returns on the cards, they consider them prepaid cards and wont allow it, just glad i got the missing points :)

So youre saying it's slightly better than the best possible deals on black friday? Are you less impressed with this deal or the black friday deal?

This one is much better because you can sell those 3 month cards for $15 pretty easily I imagine. Making the points free and walking away with $2.

The other great thing about this deal is that it splits your LIVE membership up into 3 month chunks. Maybe it's just me, but there have been times where I can go a few months without needing LIVE and this way, I may actually be able to make the 4 cards I bought last longer than a year, depending on when I decide to redeem them.

Update:

Went back to the store, bought two cards and got a code on each receipt.

Called 188BESTBUY about my online ordered one, and they said it's Microsoft's problem not theirs. So I got call M$ and if they can't fix it, return the card. It's not so bad since BB is on the way to and from work. It's still annoying though.

Totally agree I would love to be able to "park my account" say full months only any partial month would be a loss but still. I probably play 4 or 5 months at most a year so this works. $24.99 did not..LOL but this sure does.

Well another great Xbox deal, between the MS store deals in November, the target one and this I am all set for a while now..although going live again will no doubt wet the appetite for more maps etc.

Not sure about some of you but i went ham on this deal. Walked in to BB at 8:45pm grabbed 10 cards and got 10 codes. $130 i got 30 months of Xbox live and 8000 points. Mircosoft just might audit my account lol.

Good point for those who dont use it much.

In addition, sometimes it's nice to drop to silver for a bit. They offer crazy deals to go gold for silver members sometimes. Like the 2 months for $2 they have now.

Yeah, one of my cards didn't come with a code, either. BB guy told me to call MS. I doubt they'll do anything, and Best Buy won't return the cards because it's against their policy.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Great Freaking Deal....Your basically getting 3 months for $3 dollars..... bought 4 and got 4 codes emailed in less than 5 minutes I was planning on buying MS points anyways so WOW Thank you BB

I made sure the guy marked the codes on the receipt to avoid that problem.

That was a great sale. Now I am tempted to get Max Payne 3. I am still kicking myself about missing the GameStop CE sale and the Gamefly sale on it.

Just to confirm:

1. If you bought the cards and are having them shipped, the codes will be sent via email.

2. If you selected store pickup, then the codes are on the receipt when you pick up the cards.

Is this correct?

Thanks.

I bought 40 online before they went oos. Zero of them are for resale, so save the flamethrowers. :shame:

Can anyone confirm this? I ordered for store pickup which I will get tomorrow and there is NO MS Point code on my order confirmation or ready pick up email I received.

I went to the store tonight around 8:00pm PST & grabbed a couple cards. I asked the cashier if the deal was still on & if I would get two 800MSP codes since I was buying 2 cards.
I may have accidentally confused her though since when I looked at my receipt at home, I got FOUR codes, so I got 1600MSP extra for free essentially. I wonder if she'll be charged for them if it was a mistake on her part, since the codes aren't really returnable...

I think you are confused, their are codes on the top of the receipt and the bottom but they are the same codes. The cashier doesn't add on anything, the system generates the code when the card is scanned.

Nope, all four codes are different. She starred every one of them but stupid me thought 2 of the codes were the 3-months (it was a long day at work.) and the other 2 being the 800MSPs.
Great deal if you are still shackled to the confines of XBL. I had to pass on this deal though, as I'm a PS+ member...
I was able to take part in this deal despite being a PS+ member. I guess my membership contract wasn't an exclusive agreement like yours was...

I never said I was not impressed. Just not as excited I was at 4 this morning. :)

10 years of Live and 32000 Microsoft points for about $500. Not a bad deal if he was able to get it. I wasn't greedy. Just got 1.

If MP3 was even $19.99, I'd probably bite and use some of my credit...

But seems like its been $29.99 lately at a few places recently.

Wish I would've grabbed a copy for $8-15 on Black Friday :/
