When are they available?
It's random and can happen during any day of the week. Usually starts around 1:00 AM EST to 1:30 AM EST.

Is it the same price in store?
Yes.

Will Amazon price match?
It depends on if enough people alert them to the deal and if Best Buy still have stock available for shipping.

How long are these deals available?
For up to 24 hours or until the item sells out.

Will Best Buy price match a DotD item I already purchased?
No. All Deal of the Day products are of Limited Quantities and are excluded from the Best Buy Price Match Guarantee.
(Official policy of Best Buy but depending on the customer service rep handling the price match you might still be able to get it done.)

yeah alot of us got the c.e. version at gamestop last week for 20. i traded my copy and kept the stuff for 10 at bestbuy. sucks the deals werent as hot as last year. oh wells.

It was a BB DOTD for $19.99 several months ago. I think it was over the summer. They also offered the Max Payne 3 strategy guide for $4.99.
 
Considering I got MP3 like 5-6 months ago for $35 and it came with a $10 Target gift card and a free copy of GTA IV, this is really underwhelming. lol.
 
I definitely wouldn't pay $30 for Max Payne 3 at this point. There have been better deals on it from pretty much every major retailer, including Best Buy.

Problem: Bought 10 of the Live cards today, and was able to input a good chunk of the free codes. But then Live stopped accepting them. I contacted customer service and a report is being sent to someone in some department on some planet.

Question: Is there a cap on how many codes one can redeem at a given time? Seems to me like they froze my account for some kind of arbitrary security reason.

Seems like it.

I had the same problem back when I was trying to redeem an Xbox code. It gave me an error.

I used the chat option and they saw some questionable activity going on, which is why my account was frozen. The questionable activity was when they had that 1 dollar Xbox Live glitch going on, bought a couple of them in short period of time. They didn't say anything about the glitch, and quickly unfroze my account once the chat was over.
 
I opted for them to ship the XBL cards to me and I haven't received the points yet. Do I get them after the item is delivered?

:eek: And GameStop already won me over with the MP3 CE for $20 a couple weeks ago.

At first I thought you meant Max Payne 2 the game was accidentally tacked on as like a bundle, hence the reason why it was 29.99. haha.

I was going to say, I'd much rather pay 29.99 for Max Payne 2 than Max Payne 3.

Max Payne 1 and 2 will always be real Max Payne games. Max Payne 3 was an average attempt by someone trying to make a real Max Payne game.
 
PS - I don't see how anyone is going to pay 30 dollars for Payne 3 considering Gamestop had the collector's edition for 19.99 last week. Everybody should have bought it then. I'm not saying it's not WORTH 30 bucks but I wouldn't pay it at this point.
 
Got Max Payne 3 for $10 back on Black Friday. It's fun, but not $30 fun. I'd pass on this.

for anyone interested it is a great game but just like every other post it has been cheaper. i picked it up from walmart on black friday and again from gamestop for the CE. it will drop in price again very soon.

During black friday I got Ghost Recon Future Solider & Max Payne 3 for $19.48. The black friday coupon knocked off $12.00.

You should have gotten an email an hour or so after your order. Check your spam folders.

I did a store pick up, and it was not in the in the receipt. I saw that some people had the code printed in the receipt, not my case.
The code was sent to my email about 30 mins after i picked up the card.

I ended up with 9 of these cards. I bought 6 at one location, I got the e-mails for that group. The other 3 purchased, I've not received an e-mail as of today. I'm going to try the codes and see if they are valid before I even try to deal with BB customer service. All codes did print on my receipts.

Gamestop had a recent clearance on the MP3 SE for $20 and I managed to snag one for :360:, the statue is really nice. I'd wait for sub-$30 which is bound to happen at some point again.
 
How is $29.99 a deal for Max Payne 3 when just about 2 months ago Best Buy had it for $19.99?

Bingo. Never mind the $8 or $9 Kmart had it for on Black Friday, and the numerous other prior deals on it mentioned.

i got it @ Kmart's BF price from Walmart doing a pm... also included download of original, sticker said it was expired but it worked when i tried it..

From what I saw, the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary box set is around $80 or so on 1/7, and the White Dual Shock 3 with Twisted Metal is around $40 on 1/9.
