When are they available?
It's random and can happen during any day of the week. Usually starts around 1:00 AM EST to 1:30 AM EST.

Is it the same price in store?
Yes.

Will Amazon price match?
It depends on if enough people alert them to the deal and if Best Buy still have stock available for shipping.

How long are these deals available?
For up to 24 hours or until the item sells out.

Will Best Buy price match a DotD item I already purchased?
No. All Deal of the Day products are of Limited Quantities and are excluded from the Best Buy Price Match Guarantee.
(Official policy of Best Buy but depending on the customer service rep handling the price match you might still be able to get it done.)

This is common practice in retail. It is called a remainder mark or cut-out. Most common with books/CD/Games, it means that the product has been marked down at a discount cause it was overstock or left over inventory. Usually doesn't hurt the value but most collectors wouldn't want it.

Now if the mark was on the UPS or FedEx box that is a different story. They (UPS/FedEx) do that all the time and it drives me nuts.

you probably mis-understood me. There is no marker or pen mark, just a slightly crease over the jap character sticker that caused a overshadow mark.

Yeah, when I saw that Borderlands 2 was the deal of the day I thought that they were going to do an early online sale of the $30 price that they're going to have the rest of the week. Hell, or maybe even $5 cheaper (too hopeful). But hahahahaha what a joke this is.
 
If Best Buy is trying to change what the web has to say about the company, it’s going to have its work cut out, and everyone in the company, and associated with the company, will know that.

That's what I'm waiting for. Hopefully this time they have the DLC on the disc right when the GotY comes out (instead of months after, which is what happened with the first game).

Borderlands 2 is definitely better than the first. It sounds like you have a pretty low opinion of the first, so a better version will probably just result in being mediocre instead of poor. Personally, I really liked the first, the 2nd is all that much better.
 
only cuz im dying to play it and i live on in the a building adjacent to the best buy, so i can PLAY IT TODAY!!!! they have a loot giveaway going on today that i want to get all the legendary weapons.

basically, i can play today, then tomorrow actually get some fresh air and excercise by running down the stairs getting my $5 back and back up to play again lol!! thanks

Best Buy never ceases to dissapoint us. I didn't think they could get any lower, after a $35 BL2, but they've outdone themselves.
 
Thanks for the post on the uDraw. I never had any intention of getting it but $8 for a drawing tablet and game? I may never use it but I'm not sure I can resist.
 
It's been awhile, but I at least have one Deal of the Day to give to you guys this week: Little Big Planet Karting is $20 off tomorrow.

there is 1 more deal of the day this week, I believe it is Epic Mickey 2 for Wii but I can't remember what day it was. I will get back to you guys on that.
