When are they available?
It's random and can happen during any day of the week. Usually starts around 1:00 AM EST to 1:30 AM EST.

Is it the same price in store?
Yes.

Will Amazon price match?
It depends on if enough people alert them to the deal and if Best Buy still have stock available for shipping.

How long are these deals available?
For up to 24 hours or until the item sells out.

Will Best Buy price match a DotD item I already purchased?
No. All Deal of the Day products are of Limited Quantities and are excluded from the Best Buy Price Match Guarantee.
(Official policy of Best Buy but depending on the customer service rep handling the price match you might still be able to get it done.)

It really all depends on the store, but a lot of stores (including mine) are really cracking down on the new return/price match policy so hopefully if you do try to PM, they may be cool about it.

Tracker says about 2 months ago was $13, so it may possibly not be worth trying to flip as it probably has gone down (unless someone can update the value?).

Thanks for the heads up! I'm in for DDD... Hopefully I can grab it online before it sells out. Closest store with it in stock is like 40 minutes away.

I haven't started it yet myself, so I can't say for certain, but you wouldn't get as much out of it if you didn't play previous KH entries. It's also possible you'll be confused by what's going on since DDD is supposed to be a lead-in title for KH3 (supposedly... :roll:).
 
It has those backstories though doesn't it? Where you can see the basic plot from the other games.

I didnt finish DDD, but didn't they pop up pretty much any time an important event happened? Honestly, the plot was super easy to understand for me until the 2 DS games came out.

It always seems the more games a franchise makes, the more of a cluster fuck the story becomes (assassins creed).

Anyway, I hope this is in stock in my area on Thursday, cause I really want to add it to my 3DS backlog.
 
Grabbing the kingdom Hearts DDD. May grab an extra copy for a friend since he just got a 3DS for animal crossing coming out soon. Thank you for the heads up on the offer
 
The demo was pretty awesome, I felt like I was playing one of the PS2 versions :D (just with slightly different controls). I've had this one on my Amazon wish list for a while now, so I'll definitely be picking one up!
 
For those of you that might still be trying to price match the 16gb Vita card at Target, my Target in McDonough Georgia had them on clearance. I nabbed the last 16gb, but they had half a dozen 4gb. YMMV of course. I brought it up as suspicious that they would carry the system & games, yet ditch all of the memory, and he said they hadn't received a shipment of Vitas since before Christmas. Uh-oh?

Basically for anyone wanting to know about DDD story. Not really a spoiler just what the game sets you up for by its ending.
By the time the game ends the plot is clearly understood on why past events happened and what has to happen next.
And yes it gives a overview of all previous games. Definitely worth a 10dollar price tag.
 
There's a good chance I'll forget about this and then be all upset that I missed this deal. I've played all the KH games except RE:Coded guess I got to go get that too.

You should be able to do an in store pick up at best buy if your local one has it in stock and they'll hold it for you at that price for week if you want to get it another day.
 
Omg this is the best price ever for the only game i currently have for the 3ds lol (gave away zelda/fire emblem for my girlfriends bday so we share). Im just gonna go ahead and buy another copy sealed

I went ahead and picked mine up at $29.99 when I got Zelda earlier being on sale. I asked if I could call up there and get them to refund the difference and they said they would. Not really being impatient as it's about 5 minutes from my office, but during lunch it takes a good 20 minutes with the bad traffic, and I have plans tomorrow right after work. Plus I usually just take a nap during lunch, and I didn't wanna have to drive up to get the game just to go back and waste $5 in gas.
 
It's stupid if the store doesn't let you price match it later.

Since the deal is about to go live, think about this for use in the future.


You buy Kingdom Hearts 4 days ago, aware of the upcoming sale and ask them to Price Match.

They say "Sorry Price match doesn't apply to the deal of the day"

You then say "Ok, I'd like to return this copy I bought 4 days ago, I haven't opened it yet"

Then as they start processing the return, mention to them, "I'd like to repurchase this game after the return is complete, at today's deal of the day price".

Restricting it is stupid, because you can still jump through hoops and the price matched...without having to complain/ask for managers/etc.
 
My target had several that had the bonus AR cards included sticker on the outside of the case. I might PM Best Buy and try to pick one up there.
