When are they available?
It's random and can happen during any day of the week. Usually starts around 1:00 AM EST to 1:30 AM EST.

Is it the same price in store?
Yes.

Will Amazon price match?
It depends on if enough people alert them to the deal and if Best Buy still have stock available for shipping.

How long are these deals available?
For up to 24 hours or until the item sells out.

Will Best Buy price match a DotD item I already purchased?
No. All Deal of the Day products are of Limited Quantities and are excluded from the Best Buy Price Match Guarantee.
(Official policy of Best Buy but depending on the customer service rep handling the price match you might still be able to get it done.)

Wow huge deal for the Wii u Pro, I had a black one and was going to get a white one for Smash Bros. This is a steal and these things will be easy to reselll especially when smash comes out.

Having a black and white one now is sick,
 
Picked up the Show for the Vita and the WiiU Pro controller (although I have to run to the other side of town to get the controller since shipping was done.)  Great deals.  

 
this is my lucky day, i just bought mlb last week during the sale and sold it back and now its a deal of the day..how perfect.

Besides, I suppose it does not really matter right now, as I do not have a Wii U yet (I am waiting for a price drop).

I'm hesitant to grab the Pro Controller because my Wii U is black and my OCD would get the best of me.

It'll also be a constant reminder of "Hey dummy, this is the color you SHOULD have gotten at launch!", as I wanted the white Wii U, but all the extras that came in the deluxe box were too much to pass on.

Yeah, I'll probably regret passing on the white controller. The white Wii-U system I will never regret passing on. They shouldn't have made that version in the first place. Nothing wrong with the color, but too little memory.
 
Gah, I see the Wii U Pro Controller deal is back in stock online now, for free shipping.  Kind of wish I didn't do the in-store pickup when it wasn't available for shipping now.....my nearest BB is an hour away :/

Damn, MLB 13 for Vita isn't available for shipping and isn't in any stores around me. I might just have to go with the PS3 version, but I'd really rather have it on Vita. Oh well.

 
I went down to get 2 controllers. 1 for now and 1 for when smash comes out. I asked if they could just give me tank, tank, tank since my magazine hasn't come in yet, but that was a no go. Still an amazing deal on the controllers though.

 
Any chances of me getting cancelled for ordering 2 Pro controllers? I've been in the market for them and I'd like to get both of them that I need now instead of later.

 
Does anyone know if the $10, $15, $30 deal is good for in store purchases, too? Or is it online purchases only?

I'd like to get 4 of the pro controllers, but the site has a limit of 3, so I was thinking about just running over to a store and buying 4, but I don't want to get screwed out of the additional discount if it's an online only promotion.

Awesome deal on controller, just ordered for store pickup. I mean even amazon is like 31$ and a local secondhand store here is 35$ so 25$ is awesome. Just wondering what games other then Monsterhunter I will use this on lol.

Can this controller work for classic controller games too?

Thanks. Now the question is if I grab Survival Instinct, since that's about perfect, how much are they going to care about GS stickers on the case if I get a gutted copy? I'm picturing a very long afternoon of sitting in the car wearing my fingers down to sticky nubs.

I've never had a problem and I've taken in a few copies COVERED in stickers. Technically, they don't even require a case or art, so it shouldn't be a problem anyways. Usually, they'll pull the case art out a little so they can scan the UPC if it's covered, but other than that, the rest goes unmentioned.

 
I picked up one of the controllers...I just got a Wii U a week ago and needed to pick one of these bad boys up. My system is the deluxe model (Black) but I can deal with a white Wii U controller!

Hit HOME and press "Turn Display Off" which should shut off the screen of the Wii U Gamepad. I think it might still be on (wireless communications) but it shouldn't be eating as much battery that way. Note: You can't play a game like this because inputting a button turns the screen back on.

From experience, I just peel them off. But if there's still stuff left over, they don't care. For me, as long as the disc is inside a case, they give me full credit and could care less.

 
By the way the Vita version is every bit the equal of the PS3 version in case anyone's wondering.  Only areas I would knock it are in some of the sacrifices it makes in presentation for the small screen/quicker pace and that the shorter sticks of the Vita can make analog pitching a lot more hit and miss at times.  Otherwise it's a great pick up if you don't have a PS3 or want a version to take your save on the road with.

Well I placed my order last night, and my local BB says they'll hold it until Friday....so maybe the holding period is different for different stores, even though online it said 8 days.
 
I ended up with two controllers today.  I had a few dollars in GS credit, traded GTA IV (that I bought for $2 at the flea a few weeks back) and Halo CE:A and flipped Walking Dead and copy of Skyrim to BBY for ~$55. 

Mario should be a bit better now without having to use the battery sucking, carpal tunnel syndrome inducing Wiimotes.

Swung by the BB in Citrus Heights, CA and picked up a Vita copy of The Show. If someone in the Sacramento area wants to pounce on this deal, they still had 4-5 copies on the shelves.
 
Well, it looks like Amazon is not going to price match the controller.

I have an order ready for pickup at Best Buy - hopefully I can make there within the next week.

 
The Wii U Pro Controller is tempting but since it doesn't work properly (or at all) with so many games, it's not worth it right now. :(

You can call the store to cancel the pick-up, or just let it sit there, and it will auto cancel within 8 days.

Changing or Canceling Store Pickup
To change or cancel a store pickup order, call us at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289).

  • To switch from shipping to store pickup, call within one hour of placing your order.
  • To switch from store pickup to shipping, call any time.
  • If you're calling to cancel a store pickup order, please have your credit card information handy.
Note that not all items are available for both store pickup and shipping.

We'll hold your items at the store for 8 days. If you don't pick up your items by then, we'll cancel the order and refund your method of payment.
