I assumed the criterion version of Life Aquatic would be a more expensive two disc release. Is this just my own mistake, and the non-criterion just happens to be more expensive at best buy?

I believe they are both Criterions, one is single-disc and the other a 2-disc special edition.

Ok, thanks. For some reason I assumed there was just going to be one Criterion release for it.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm definitely picking it up. I'm just not sure if I should get the regular edition, or pay extra for the 2-Disc edition.

Same here...I'm quite curious about this exclusive CD thing though.
 
Actually theirs three versions of the Appleseed DVD. Theirs the regular edition, then the 2-Disc edition, and theirs also a 2-Disc edition with an action figure. I know that the 2-Disc edtion comes in a metal case, which is pretty cool.
 
Why release an 8 episode season on DVD? I thionk the Family Guy Season 1 and 2 is the way to go. An 8 episode season just seems like a rip off.

I'd like to get the Quantum Leap sets too, but I'm reluctant to pay much for them since they cheaped out and replaced a lot of the music from the show on the DVDs rather than pay to license the songs to be on the DVDs.
 
I think I will be picking up Life aquatic and entourage season 1. Both great deals. Thanks for the post.
 
$17.99 for Hoop Dreams is pretty damn good.

I wasn't planning on picking this up on Tuesday, but that price has changed my mind.
