UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO COMMENTS:
1) Games are YELLOW TAGGED with %OFF, ring at regular price, and have to be overridden by a manager at the register.
2) This is STORE-BY-STORE, and BIG YMMV, it is not regional as many BB have similar clearance.
3) I added gmes purchased RECENTLY at DIFFERENT BB stores to my list.
4) Calling will NOT get you anywhere. It's NOT a nationwide sale, it is indvidual store clearance of stale products.
5) ASK AN ASSOCIATE/MANAGER where the clearance games are, OR look around OR or try a different BB. It's not always obvious.
6) New titles may be added monthly to ongoing clearance bins in your store.
7) Titles/prices are representative of what others have found, NOT what you will find.
8) ANY Collector's Editions typically go 50% off in a few months, making them cheaper than the 'plain' version (so much for added value)
9) LOOK FOR BINS BY THE REGISTERS, but they could be anywhere in the store, usually separate from the regular games.
10) GOOD games typically have only 1-3 copies in the bin and likely sold out before you got there (i.e. VF5, Jean De Arc, Rock Band).
11) Typically 50 or more titles in bins, most of it crap, but very few sports games! (at least in Mission Viejo, CA)
12) YOUR STORE MAY NOT DISCOUNT AT ALL, MAY NOT DISCOUNT ANY GAMES IN THIS LIST, OR MAY ONLY DISCOUNT 10%!
13) STOP THREAD CRAPPING! STOP TRADING! If your BB sucks I am sorry for you, BB generally suck. Try to become the Media manager.
14) ADD your local store finds to this thread to keep it going.

BB clearance prices 10%-75%, but typically 50% off games for ALL current systems.
YMMV WILDLY, GOOD LUCK HUNTING!
It's worth looking if you are there anyway, but don't go out of your way to get there.
All regular edition clearance games sell between $5 and $30:

:psp:
Jean De Arc $15
PSP Pappa The Rapapper - $10
Gurumin PSP $9.99

:ps2:
Rock Band (game only) $30
Boogie w/mic (EA Karaoke) PS2 $10
Nobunaga's Ambition: Rise To Power for PS2 at $27
Hot Wheels Beat That PS2 $15
Petz: Horsez OR Catz PS2 $15
Cabela's (one with Deer on cover)

Greendale Mall in Worcester has a bin out with 50% off. Is Yu Gi Oh 2008 for DS worth $15?

Edit: What I mean to say is, Yu-gi-oh 2008 is in said clearance bin.

For those saying games are ringing up full price for them, the Best Buy I bought my games from had the games in a bin with the clearance prices marked. When rung up they would ring up at there normal prices, and the manager would have to override it. So not saying its true for everything, but if you bring a game up there just off the shelf...I wouldnt expect it to ring up at clearance price. If you dont have a clearance bin, its probally a no go.

Picked up Halo for Xbox ($5) and Def Jam Icon ($15) last night at my local BB. They had Fable: The Lost Chapters, but it rang up as $10, so I passed.

I stopped at the Riverdale, UT store on my way home yesterday and, while I didn't find any clearance, they did have a sign posted for a PS3 deal. Buy a 40GB PS3 and get a free sixaxis control and you're choice of a game ($59.99 and under).

My local Best Buy had the 50% off table today. This is my second time seeing this. Saw the following:

Wii
Battalion Wars 2 $25
Soul Calibur Legends $20

Xbox 360
The Bigs $15 (with the alternate Justin Morneau cover)
Devil May Cry 4 Collectors Edition $40

PS3
All Pro Football $10
Conan $15

Nintendo DS
Rune Factory $15

PS2
Dance Dance Revolution Super Nova $15

Oh god, that's fabulous. I need to hit the other BB in my area, hopefully they have that.

Seems like a lot of retail stores adjust prices based on the community. In the areas here where people spend more money, prices are higher than the poorer areas. Also, there are far fewer clearance sales, and when there are clearance bins, a lot of the people don't even look in the bins at the richer stores. But at the poorer stores, many head for the clearance bins first, then go home empty-handed and look at Ebay and sigh as they get outbid by the rich cheap bastard with the faster internet connection.

I find better "Every Day" deals at mom and pop and smaller video game stores than at the big, obvious places. There's a family-owned store near me that sells new PS3 games at $55. Two days ago, they already had Dark Sector used for $40, which the guy ahead of me bought. They had that Viking game for $40, too. They might hold onto that one for a little while.

Unfortunatly my bestbuy in lake geneva, WI is brand new (same with the target next door) so neither have clearance items....maybe in a year??? I'm so jealous

My Best Buy (Slidell, Louisiana) had DMC4 LE and DQ Swords for 50% off, along with a crapload of other titles not listed in the OP.

Walked in, almost had a heart attack, bought some stuff, walked out triumphantly, fist pumping and the whole bit. Promptly went home and piled them on my growing stack of "to play on a later date" games. :(

Don't be surprised if you never get any clearance items.

Best Buy clearances, it seems, is manager specific. Some clearance stuff out, some don't. I happen to live in a city where the average person will buy anything at best buy for any price, so I rarely see clearance deals.

BB deals are extremely YMMV so if you find these they "should" be $24.99.

Xbox 360 Covenant Wireless Controller (w/Halo 3 graphics and master chief figure)
SKU: 8435348
$24.99

Xbox 360 Spartan Wireless Controller (w/Halo 3 graphics and master chief figure)
SKU: 8435384
$24.99
I'm looking for blue dragon and halo 3 legendary in the cincinnati, ohio region any luck?
The Fields-Ertel location had a couple Halo 3 Legendary editions last week for 50% off. No Blue Dragons though.

It is primarily a function of the manager.

I have two Best Buys near me. They're only a couple of miles apart, so the communities they serve cannot possibly be very different.

Best Buy #1 used to offer fantastic deals. $5 and $10 games -- and good ones, too. Just excess inventory really priced to move. The deals were so good that I would invent reasons to drive out of my way to stop by this Best Buy. Just to check.

But now? They still have the game table, but most games are $35. They're still trying to move $30 Folklore and $35 Jericho after nobody has bitten for almost two months. Not only have they gotten stingy, they've gotten stupid.

The other Best Buy never used to clearance anything. Not once in all the years I've been here did they ever have any of the clearance sales mentioned here.

Now, for the first time, they did this very 50% off sale. Huge bins, tons of games, all 50% off. Most of it crap, but at least it's cheap crap.

What changed? Only the managers.

My Folklore says $60 on the tag...will it ring up as $30 and they'll give me the 50% off? Or do they go solely by the sticker?

Because I'll bite for $15 or so dollars.
Looked again and wasted my time again. My BB never ever ever has these sales!
i feel like this is guna happen to me too, but ima still check anyways

the bb closest from my house is only less than 5 min away

If Best Buy has a markdown, then it's chain wide and it will ring up at the discounted price no matter what.

But these are clearance items, which are at the manager's discretion. Most stores don't even update the prices in the system and use stickers and manager overrides.

So, if yours says $60, it will ring up at $60.

Unless your Best Buy keeps the games in a cage, though, you could always bring it to customer service and ask for a price check.

Ah. I'm not too sure if it's been stated or not, but Advance Guardian Heroes (GBA) should be added. The Loveland, CO BB had it for $9.99 with a 50% sticker on it, so $5.00.

my BB was weird, somewhere on this site someons aid Conan was for $9.90 on clearance, but I went there and my BB had PS3 version on clearance for $20 after the 50% off, buit 360 one was normal price, BUT i found a monster madness in there for $9.99 after the 50% off...but on the regular store shelves..they had monster madness there for full price, so I think i found a random monster madness in there that wasn't supposed to be. Got thos,e hunter the reckoning wayward for PS2 and The Red Star for PS2, both those were $5 and $10 respectively. Not bad.

Add this to your list if Guide Books apply

XBOX 360 Halo 3 OFFICIAL STRATEGY GUIDE - $1 (they probably want to give this away for free)
Location: Norwalk, CT (Off Rt-1)

I bought 3, one for me, one for cousin, one extra for friend.
This was still $5 last week, scanned at $19.99 and Manager override was required. (on the usual manager special/clearance table)

There are still 10 copies or so. Two or so are not shrink wrapped. The 3 i bought are all brand stinking new and wrapped.

:bouncy:

(BB in Norwalk, CT location, I don't visit that client often, I live in Queens NYC and gas is expensive!)
diablo did that best buy have anything else worth while???
they didnt have anything else worth my while, a few crappy GBA, PSP and 360 games but once in a while they have some good clearance, that's why I make the trip to them at least once every week.

My store added some new games this week - Bratz and Arctic Tale Wii for $9.99 and Bee Movie Wii for $14.99. (prices are after 50% discount)

Wow,I just wentto my BestBuy here in the Bay Area and saw a bunch of stuff on this huge rack.

360 had games like Stranglehold, Jericho, The Darkness, Dirt, Two Worlds, and a bunch of others.

Silent Hill for PSP, Puzzle Quest for PS2, and roughly 8 copies of Odin Sphere for PS2....

If this thread is going to continue, people need to be very specific about what stores they are talking about. The "Bay Area" is huge and contains multiple Best Buy locations.
Checked out 3 stores in central NJ, and nothing. They did have some of these games, i.e. Eternal Sonata but they were their normal price.
Mr. Rocket (lol), which central jersey stores? I was contemplating going to the one in Bridgewater tonight. Is that one of the ones you went to?

Sorry, it was the BB in Marina/Fort Ord, CA. There was also F.E.A.R. Files 360 for $20 after 50% off. Skate for PS3 and forgot what else.
