Hi Guys,
I know this has been mentioned before, but I can not find it. I searched for BBGC.

The BB near me does not have any of the $5 off $19.99 GCs. They use to have ones for 2005 (Green I think), but now it is just the $29.99 ones. Is this going to be a nationwide thing? Will they put the GC back on the shelf after the holidays?

Thanks,
Matthew

No one is gonna be able to tell you what your local BB is gonna do, but more than likely you'll never see those again.

I've noticed a ton of both the new $29.99 and up 2005 cards and the "old" $19.99 and up green 2005 cards at the 3 Colorado Best Buy's I frequent.

My guess would be that the $19.99 and up green cards are no longer being produced and what is left in circulation is all that there will be. After the green cards are sold through, we will just get the $29.99 and up coupons on GGC.

We should hoard the rest of the green GC's.

Here is my idea.

1. Put $5 on each Gift card.
2. Sell them to CAG members for $5.37. (.37 for shipping.)
3. Everyone is happy.

Just my 2 cents,
Matthew

I would buy them since my BB stop offering GGCs awhile ago.

My local Best Buy has both of them but it seems like the $5 off $19.99 are in shorter supply. I'm betting that they are going to quit printing them even though they don't expire until end of next year.

Yeah, get a $5 ff 420 giift card if you can. BB seems to be phasing them out,. A couple weeks ago there were none in stock at m local Best Buys. yesterday i ddio some shopping and lucked across six that definately weren't there two weeks ago. I snatched three of them and already had another two. That should last me all of next year.

Run a search for GGC, some places have stoped stocking the green ones. Some places never started. My advice is to find a bestbuy that does have them. I know that isn't easy for everyone, but it has worked for me. I have a BB by work, another by school and another by my house. And only 1 of them I know for sure has them in stock.

The trade for 5.37 idea is a good one. You don't even need to send the case, just the insert with the card & coupon.

Here are some pics of the "good" Green GGC.

Dont 4get to check expriration dates, will they really be good all next year?

I used one yesterday ($5 off 19.99) that expires at the end of the year.

Both of my local BB's still have a ton of these in stock. Maybe yours is just out for now? I don't know what to tell you, but I guess I should get a few just in case.
whats the deal with these? I'm new.

$5 giftcard w/ a $5 coupon attached = $10 for $5?
Yep, that's about right.

I just got a generic games GC last weekend at BB with a $5 coupon that didn't expire until 12/31/05. I put $5 on it then used it to get FF:1&2 for the GBA

The gift card will have whatever amount you want to put on them. My local BB lets me put a penny on each one. So, if I put a penny:

1 cent to buy the card = $5 off $19.99 or higher video game.

The local BB has about ten left in the entire store of the green ones. I have about ten with me, which will all be used up soon enough!

Damn, hearing that just made my night. :D

I'll have to see what I can find at my local BB, since I'm going there this evening for KH.

At any rate, a hearty "well done" to everybody who put a cent on those cards. Without you this might have lasted another year.

I always out $5 or more on the cards so as not to raise suspision. Since you get the spend the money on the card the amount doesn't matter.

I really liked the GGC, but all this year it seams like everyone else has a better deal anyways. Target has had some new games for $35 and Fry's seems to have every new game for $40.

I still like to use the GGC on 19.99 Player's Choice / Greatest Hits titles, but otherwise I have not much use for them.

If they go to 29.99 and up games then they are completely worthless.

The BB Customer Service reps said that the system allowed for $0.01 to be put on them, though the "real" minimum is $5.00.

Sounded OK to me, and I've stuck with it at $5. I've never put $0.01 on one.

My Best Buy has the green ones still. I actually haven't seen these new ones yet. I need to pick up a bunch of the green ones next time I am there. I had thought they were gone cause I never saw them but they are up by the customer service counter now. Weird.

I have 8 , $5 off $19.99 & up, coupons in my wallet, and I will buy any more that I see . I usually put $1 on each & make up some B.S. My favorite one is that they are for a child's b-day party grab-bags, and I already bought a $20 one for the grand prize . F Best Buy & their Disneyland style checkout line!!
