My question is i got a ipod touch in March and the pass couble of months it been acting up and i have a warriete for it and everything but my question is will they take it back and give me gift card so i can buy me a ps3 or will they just give me a new ipod touch sorry about spelling hard to type on the ipod also if in wrong forum please move sorry

Unfortunately, Best Buy ONLY offers a Product Repair Plan anymore, so that is what you have with your Ipod Touch.

Due to that, unless it's seriously messed up to the point where they will not be able to repair it, they will try to repair it like 3 different times for you.

If it's still messed up after all of that, then and only then will you be given a gift card.

I'd say its YMMV. It really depends on the employee you get as it seems they all have their own version of whatever Best Buys return policy is. I mean, here, you could go in with a product and a warranty and the person will say you HAVE to exchange it for the same thing, then, if you come back the next day, a different employee will say that you can just do a straight return and get a store gift card.
