Best Buy Manager's Clearence YMMV

CAGiversary!
So tonight when we had to take back a printer USB cable that it turned out we didnt need. I saw our Best Buy (in Vancouver, WA) had several large bins of games up front. One was full of "front lane" games that had large white $9.99 - $14.99 stickers. (Final Fury, Outrun, Cake Mania for DS, etc, etc.)

But the real prize was the 60% off bin. I picked up Destroy All Humans 2 ($19.99 - 60% = $8) and Naruto Uzumaki Chronicles ($19 - 60% = $8). They had many many others. Splinter Cell double agent for the ps2. I didnt look at too many of the xbox or psp titles (since I dont have those) but something called legend of heroes 3 was $39 and had a 75%(!) off sticker on it.

The interesting thing is, the cashier girl (gum smacking constantly) wanted to write down each of the titles so that "the manager could keep track of which ones sell to see if we keep doing this".

DAH2 for the Xbox was a BF doorbuster for $4.99 (although one of my local BBs still had it that Saturday afternoon)... they probably had a ton of leftover copies they needed to dump.

Yes, I noticed a massive dump bin of shipper display games at a BB here in Richmond (Short Pump). Appeared to be new old stock.

Hmmm...a handwritten inventory system during the holiday season? Uhhh...
if you happen to find a discounted copy of Rule of Rose, don't hesitate to PM me. :D
Little off-topic, but Fry's B&M has it for $24.90. YMMV too.

I have the game. It's not that great. Really good story line, but the gameplay is something else...

Too bad no BB's around me use bins because all the soccer moms buy everything at full price. Although, they have about 10 copies of Genji for PS3 sitting there. I'm waiting for it to drop to $10.

I wish my BB had games this cheap. The cheapest regular "clearance deals" they get are 15 dollars, maybe 10, at best for old and generally crappy games.

My BB has only done this once. I got Donkey Kong Jungle Beat /w bongos for $11.99 and a couple of other things. I took my buddy back to get some bongos and the games were marked regualr price and back on the shelf. This was over a year ago and to this day, the $29.99 Donkey Konga games are still on the shelf. They have a ton of GBA games and I wish they would do this again.

On topic with Destroy All Humans 2 Door buster, they still had it at the $4.99 price this afternoon at the local BB. Still a steal at the $8 price tag.

Sounds like she may be a flipper. Writing down the cheap titles and check their eBay values when she gets home. That's my theory, anyways.

I'm making a trip there as soon as I can. I want to try and snag DAH2 and GRAW 2, but knowing me I'll miss out :(

My BBs never have these manager's clearances. Sometimes they'll mark down one or two games (i know Tiger Woods 07 on the PS2 is now) individually but still.... I want them to do a bin special!

Mine had some last week i think. Nothing good. They had DVDs in bins too, but they were regualrly priced, like office space for $10.

My Best Buy have a really great manager's clearance/60% Off bin for almost the rest of the year, since August/September....I would stop in every couple of weeks and get really GREAT games (that I don't really want to list but....I'll just say one...Okami) for cheap prices.

Hopefully, they won't stop and several employees working there have told me 'our sales are up because of the bins.' I could barely find any games in the bin after Black Friday.

Are these bins usually a % off or what? I was at BB today and saw one but it looked like B1G1F, which was a shame b/c I would pick up Table Tennis (360) or Luminous Arc for 60% off anyday...
