Best Buy refund policy

Does Best Buy refund the difference between the original price and a sale price if purchase is made within a number of days? I know that some stores do. I bought a game yesterday and find that it is on sale today for a lot less. I did open it, so a return is not possible.

Since you opened it. I doubt it. Now if you had a sealed copy, I would think you would be able do that. Why don't you call them. The nuber should be on the recipet.

It doesn't matter if you opened it or not. If you bought it from BB and find it cheaper at another store. just take the ad and they will give you the difference.

Op is it cheaper at another store or is it cheaper at bestbuy. If you bought it from BB and it's cheaper elsewhere. Then I could see them doing it.

They'll give you the difference even if it is their own price. I've done that before whith Doom 3. It just has to be within 30 days.

They have a 30 day price match gaurantee so you should be fine.

Just bring in your receipt . . . if they give you a hard time buy one at the lower price and return it on the higher receipt (you'd have 30 days for this).

I've had a theory that Target or Walmart would be the best places to buy games because of this . . . you can return a sealed game for 90 days at those stores. Price protection for three months.

They should do it within 30 days... if not, buy the lower priced one from them and return with other receipt. It really depends upon the BB how much of a hard time they will give you... 9 times out of 10, no issue.

What I have learned is to be nice (non-confrontational) and wear business casual clothes... golf shirt instead of a t-shirt .

Thanks for all the replies. That was quick! I hadn't thought of buying another copy and then returning it with the old receipt if I needed to. I'm afraid that I bought the last copy they had, but I'll check it out.

They usually honor the difference as long as it's within the 30 days. I've done that to get free games from buying systems. Ex1) When GC was $150 and they were giving 1 of 4 games free, I bought the Mario Sunshine Bundle and got RE0 free. Next week, they offered the 1 of 4 game + NBA Street so I went back to the Best Buy, showed them my reciept and they gave me NBA Street w/o any hassle. Same thing when I bought an Xbox. Got Tony Hawk Underground free 2 weeks later. Yeah... I'm one of the Devil Customers.
