Does anyone know if you are able to use a Best Buy Reward Zone coupon to buy a PSN Card? I have a $5 certificate and would like to apply it to a $20 PSN Card.
 
I don't see why you could not.

BEST BUY WEBSITE:
"Reward certificates can be used toward the purchase of nearly any product or service in store or online. You must use them on an eligible product or service in an amount greater than the value of the reward certificate. Certificates may be combined with other offers, but they are valid on in-stock items only."

Best guess is to try!

Haven't tried it but it specfically states thay cannot be used to buy giftcards.
 
What people have done in the past is if they want to buy something and they are expiring soon, they will puchase some item that you can return and if you do that the points will go back into your account and then be re-issued at a later time once they are credited again with new expiration dates.

I don't think they have changed the way that works, but you never know.
 
If you buy a PSN or XBL 1600 pt card with reward certificate, will it count toward your gamer zone reward points?
 
definately. I used the reward zone certs and the 10% off certs to get $18 psn cards all the time. you get reward zone points, but i dont know bout gamer points.
 
Are you sure? I knew you didn't get reward zone points for certificate purchases but I wasn't sure about gamer points. See this for regular reward zone points:

Points will not be earned for the following: instant rebates and the value of mail-in rebates on purchases, purchases made for resale or paid by Reward Certificate or Best Buy Gift Card, sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges, restocking fees, commercial or industrial purchases, and certain items that are excluded in particular promotions.

You still get points when you use a certificate. You just don't get points for the amount of the certificate that you use. Example: you buy a $20 game and use a $5 rewards certificate, you would still get 15 points for it. The same should apply for the gamers points.

Ya i know that, but I'm planning on buying a PSN card for $20 no tax free ship, with $20 certificate. Probably no gamer points I guess.

The only difference is that they won't let you use a reward zone cert that is worth more than what you're buying. I buy more gum that way than for the gum itself!
