Best Buy trade ins

DRCOOL

CAGiversary!
I'm tired of Gamestop ripping me off for stuff. Has anyone sold their games to Best Buy? I was wondering how the experience was and if its worth it.

Took around 3 weeks to get my gift card from BB compared to Amazon who gets me credit within 5-7 days.

Unfortunately, you're about 2-3 months or so too late to get any halfway decent values for your games from DealTree/Best Buy, since most of the values hit rock bottom recently.

I don't even think they have a video game trade-in button on their trades page anymore, since they're supposedly revamping the program now.

But there's also Toys R' Us and they take games in-store instead of having to ship them in.

Although according to the one website Best Buy may be starting to take trade-ins for gift cards in store as of August, which would be much better than having to mail stuff in and wait.

Maybe I will go with Gamestop. If I'm selling 7 games and and they have the sale, sell 3 games get an extra 10 dollars, will they give me 20 bucks? or is it better to make it 2 different transactions?

It depends on what your games are worth. You can go to the game deals page on CAG and find the Gamestop trade value thread to know which games you can take in to get the most for before/after trade bump.

Of course, you can also check what they're worth on the Toys R'Us trade site(www.toysrustradeincenter.com )and decide from doing those two bits of research which one would be better. At Gamestop you get the bonus promo, but the values at TRU might be as high as the GS values without a bonus promo needed.

And right now I believe Gamestop has a 'trade 2, get $40' deal going on when you trade in two select games towards a pre-order of either Madden 11 and another game. But some of us have cancelled out of those preorders before and been able to get the $40+ in credit back on our EDGE cards a day or two after doing the initial trades. It's a sneaky way around their promo to get it to work for you and I don't know if it works anymore, but it's worth a shot if you have two of those games and are at least making more than you paid for them that way.

Just wondering if they would give me 20 dollars extra for 6 games if they games are all above $1
