Picked out two $25 used games but can't find a third to maximize by "G1".

Any good $25 games with high trade in anyone knows off the top of their head? TIA

Whenever they get trade-ins they usually have them shipped to get the CD cleaned/buffed before they shrink wrap the games before they are redistributed to stores.

That's what has been implied.
The discs I've received have all been in good condition.
All the games I've ordered have come in a case with artcover and manual but I'm not sure if it's standard or I got lucky since I know I see a lot of copies in store that have that ugly printed cover

You've gotten lucky than. They don't guarantee cover art/manual when you order used games online. Though it seems to be pretty good odds you will get them I wouldn't count on it.

Also, my copy of Enslaved used from online did not have a manual =[

I just open a new copy of brotherhood on PS3 and nope.
They don't even have a manual...it's a trifold paper.
 
Ugh, whhhhhyyyy. Just went to store pick-up and Killzone 3 and God of War 3 are disc only. Does Best Buy let you swap or return/rebuy a different copy with box art at a different store if you keep the game sealed?
 
Possibly if you can find another copy.
I don't see why they wouldn't unless you get a nit picky CS Rep

Edit: and this is why I've only been doing disc only trades at GS/BB.
In case I get a generic case or the case gets dented.

yeah i noticed that the last time mvc3 was on sale at the beginning of april.. luckily the clerk was ok with price matching.
 
Will those games ring up $9.99 in store and b2g1 if I just walk in the store and buy them off the shelves?

Yeah just got back from buying MvC3, Killzone 3 and Dragon Age 2 in store. When he scanned them they rang up at normal price. The cashier had to price match for me (man people at bestbuy really hate adjusting prices the guy had a sour face the whole transaction) and the B2G1 rang up just fine. Though I'm kicking myself for forgetting to use my reward zone for the 10% off. Could've saved two bucks I think?
 
They were going to give me two brand new copies of Brotherhood and KZ3, but the guy checking receipts called up another employee and they switched to pre-owned ones. Luckily, they had the original boxes and manuals although the discs have some scratches on them.
 
I got KZ3, GOW 3, and Assassins Creed Brotherhood for $19.58 with in-store pickup. KZ3 was missing the manual but I can live with that. Thanks OP.

Most of these I already own but lots of them get good TIV @ GS.

I know that Killzone 3 has a online pass but what about Dragon Age 2 and Marvel vs Capcom 3? Do they have any online passes or codes that might not be there?

I could have sworn Killzone 3 doesn't have an online pass?

It comes with a Socom Early Multiplater Beta testing code though.
 
One of the games I got (GOW3) I had to do ship to store, does anyone know if this is shipped to my store from another store or from a Best Buy warehouse? Just curious.

Couldn't you technically just do it "in-store" while using your iPhone/android and go to BB website while you're standing in the games dept.?

Or do you need a hard copy of something?
 
FYI: I'm sure it's been mentioned already, but the pre-owned God Of War III sale price of $9.99 isn't coming up in the system in store. Not only that but the price is negated when doing the B2G1. It goes back up to $19.99 if trying to use it with another 2 games for the B2G1 sale.

EDIT: I picked up Two Worlds II(wonder if it's my old copy:lol:), Burnout Paradise and Battlefield Bad Company 2 for my B2G1. They were all $17.99. But then they had to PM the $9.99 used price for GOW3 in the system on a seperate transaction.

I also picked up a copy of Disney Universe and they have Duke Nukem Forever dropped to $4.99 in store finally. So I grabbed that too since I never finished it when I had it last.

had that issue during the last b2g1. had the clerk pm the website, so its ymmv in store.

You can PM the website. As long as the deal isn't advertised as "online only" then you can PM the DOTW sale prices and B2G1 sale (which it isn't an online only deal for this week anyways FYI).

The only downside is that the 10% GCU discount does not apply whenever they PM the online price. So technically you lose out on that although you can remind the clerk that the 10% is supposed to stack as well.

In the end, it's simpler to just do a .com order for in-store pickup before you get there.

Crap. I knew I forgot something when I picked up God Of War III earlier. Oh well. I'll just take the receipt in next time I'm in and get it adjusted.

That's why I ordered it instead.

Rather not deal with the workers making me choose.
Although some of my orders won't come in until the 4th/5th I guess.

I just came from BB and there was a couple Fable 3 and Dragon Age 2 in pretty good condition. They actually had their artcover and enough heft to make me believe manual is in them too.

As for my bulk order...the only one I got that was in a generic case was MvC3 which was find since I didn't really plan on keeping it anyways since my brother has his own copy.
 
Thanks for the post. Picked up God of War 3 for another playthrough and warm up for GOW4, and Bioshock 1 & 2 (never played them) in case I want infinite. Used my $10 best buy store closing and $10 cert for a $1.xx purchase. All have decent enough TIV to play and trade for free, great deals for me.
 
Thanks OP. Picked up Killzone 3, ASS Brotherhood, and Capcom PS3 and they are all complete and in excellent condition. I also found a copy of Duke nukem xbox. The instore price is 4.99 but I price matched BBY.com to 2.99. The guy at service desk said they don't price match the outlet item. But I did match it at the register.

No online pass for Killzone 3 or Marvel vs Capcom 3.
Dragon Age 2 has online pass (locks you out of certain stuff in single player).

I usually use GoW for God of War and Gears for Gears of War.

Sweetness. I might get God of War 3 but not really sure as I haven't played the first two. I recently got the PS3 and not sure what cheap games to get. Any under $10 recommendations? I only have MK, Uncharted 3, and RE5 Gold.
