Supposedly, it's from the Best Buy "Retail Insider" newsletter that employees get. If it's true, Best Buy stores will receive the next shipment of 360s on December 16, to put out for the December 18 Sunday ad.

According to this sheet, each store will receive at least 20 Premium units, possibly more... and possibly some Cores.

Don't know if this is real or not, but I thought it'd be interesting for those of you still hunting for a console.

I searched before, and didn't find this sheet posted on the forums. Anyway, I know my buddy Captain Repost will let me know what's up... 'cause that's how he rolls! ;)

I never realized the premium remote was any different from the one sold seperately, actually. Also confirms that this second shipment will be the last shipment for the DVD remote.

That's pretty cool if you got a special "limited" version remote...

Also, I saw this odd, expensive-looking remote at Best Buy earlier this week. Didn't have a price. Supposedly, it also has a $30 MIR when you buy that and the Xbox 360 console.

Exactly like the one in the picture on ebgames.com except it cuts off right after the yellow/blue/green/red buttons and has a "record" button as well as a windows media center button

Your remote has a "record" button? What the heck can you record? It's for Windows Media Center PCs, or what?
 
My friend who works at best buy told me the day after launch that they would be putting the next batch out on dec. 18th definitly...so I would say this is legit.

Hmmm so when Mictrosoft is saying more 360's are coming this week, BB isn't gonna be getting any at all until the 18th? So while CC, Walmart, and Target are selling them and making money, BB would rather sit back and not sell them. This just doesn't sound right.

Also gamerush is gettin in 2 system..

still best buy must being saving their system for a big 2nd shippment.. while other store is just selling whatever they get instock...

anyway, i'm gonna be so much more prepared this time. I'll have to be...it's gonna be below zero in chicago! :cold:

wait, so are they going to actually hold the things until sunday? if so I predict a lot of camping since it will be on the weekend.

Yea, I don't blame ya. I would have done the same thing. :) Especially since it was a core.
 
Posted the exact same thing in this thread in case I missed anyone with this info.


I work at a BB, and I talked to the media supervisor yesterday about when the next shipment was coming in. He told me that it will be coming in the week of the 18th.

I asked him if there will be a line for it, like the "first" launch date, and told me yes. So I'm guessing that most BB stores will get around the same number of units again that they did on Nov. 22.

Also, people have been mentioning about how they will keep the units in the back if there are any left over and that is what my BB will do. I asked why, and they replied that people will go crazy if they see X360's just sitting there. So to cut out the chaos, you will have to just randomly ask and hope for a yes.

So if you want to get one at BB, be prepared to either wait overnight for one and hope for the best, or go to as many as possible on the 18th and just ask someone in the media department.

It'd be nice if Best buy would hand out tickets to those who start waiting at 9PM the night before instead of forcing us to wait in below zero weather.

well, it'll be cold as balls either way and it'd be harder to conceal the flask during the day. I'd look like a total drunk loser if I was out there at 4pm drinking whiskey in my tent to keep warm while waiting for a video game system :lol:

Well, if you go when the store opens... even if there's a huge line, you should still make it home in time for football. Isn't this "2nd launch" going to be at the time when Best Buy starts opening early for the holidays (8 a.m., I believe)?

After a week of asking a local best buy everyday when the shipment was supposed to come in I finally got one to give me a date other than "Next year sometime". He told me Tuesday which is the 13th, this would seem to validate the Dec 18th rumor. Prolly will be camping out on both days or atleast after school.
 
I too was told by a Best Buy employee that they were expecting to get some in on the 13 or 15. He also said that they would get some on 17. Now, I don't know how realistic it is that they would get some in a four days span.
