Best Buy's Return Policy

A few weeks ago I tried to price match a game at bb to get it cheaper, but they said they would not do it since it was from an online site. They also said that if the price was lowered from another store in the area, or if they lowered it, that i could get it for the cheaper price, or something like that. Anyway, they lowered the price last week, but i was wondering what I need to take to the store in order to do this besides the original receipt, and do i have to take it to the same store that i made the original purchase. I tried looking on the web site, but couldn't find anything. If anyone knows their policy, i would appreciate it. Thanks.

As long as its within the 14 days of the price guarentee then they will give u ur money back + some.

Nothing but the reciept is needed.

Bestbuy policy is $uck. They customer service very slow & take forever to wait .

I remembered I pickup some PS2 game at BB for $40 plus taxes . A week later CC have it on sale for $20 but i don't have the CC ads with me. SO, I printed the ads from CC.com then hit BB to get the price adjustment.

After waiting 20-35 mins. Stupid employees & Supervisor "We can't pricematch it cuz it not real ads". Finally, they give CC phone call after 15-20 mins arguement but no dice "they said CC is out of Stock for this game so, we can't pricematch it"

I visited the CC they make phone called. I pickup the same game for $14.50 after Pricematch $5 off coupon. CC still have 8 or more copies left on the shelve.

I cut off the CC Price Tag sticker then go back to BB w/ Orginal Receipt & Return it but Can't find that big fast ass, LIAR, moron Supervisor & Stupid employee no where.

PS. It take me less 3 minutes deal with CC customer service (Very happy) compare to BB customer service it take me more than 1:30 minutes after driving back & forward (BB Service is Very Suck).

So, I highly recommanded you Buy New copy & Return it with OLD Receipt (Makesure you return the items b4 30 days)

Well first off, I'm hoping English is not your first language. If so.. I'm very depressed at the state of our education system. Secondly, that's illegal, I'd recommend not doing such things and definitely recommend not posting recommendations for such actions here... you're going to get flamed (by me as well as others).. and it also makes you.. an asshat.

Can you actually tell me what he did? I can't decipher his message. At least it wasn't one giant paragraph.

He bought a game at Best Buy, then after a period of time, he purchased the same game at Circuit City for a lower price, then took the stickers off and returned it to Best Buy with his original receipt. Basically, he committed fraud.

It's not really fraud, its just avoiding Best Buys horrible Customer service. If they really deserve to keep that money, they should make it a little easier to make a price match.

Best Buy needs to learn a lot from Circuit City imo.

"If they really deserve to keep that money"... what the hell is that? They definitely deserve to keep their money. Because you aren't happy with their customer service does NOT mean you can take their money.. how the hell does that work in your head?

Best Buy does pricematch.. if CC has it in stock, and you have the local ad. What's the problem here? He was too lazy to get an ad.. so he defrauded them out of the money.

And yes, it is 100% without a doubt illegal fraud. He could technically be arrested, prosecuted, and sued by BB for what he did.
Ya, I wouldnt consider that fraud. He did buy it from BB. Then another from CC.
If I buy a shirt from Kaufmann's (a local department store), wear it for a month.. then I find the same shirt at Gabriel's (a local outlet store) for 1/4 the price.. is it ok for me to take the cheap shirt to Kaufmann's with their receipt and get my money back? No.. that's wrong, and its fraud. Same with this situation.

I have to agree with Big Nick, BB got their game back, and this guy was supposed to get the game price matched, so I don't know who'd really be getting hurt in this situation. I know it isn't their policy to match prices if the competition is OOS, but that shouldn't really matter, IMO.

Well, all I have to say is that Gamestop and EB games aren't exactly the most trustworthy buying "new" games from.

Well that's helpful in a discussion about Best Buy's return policy.

Well he did go to the same CC and got the game that Best Buy told them didnt have them in stock. Best Buy got their game back, he got the cheaper price. This is NOTHING like the walmart scam. He actually purchased the game from Best Buy in the first place. Its just like never opening the game and returning it 3 weeks later. Either way, Best Buy is gettin their game back, and the customer is getting his money back.

BTW, ive done this once (sort of) I bought Halo for 25 with the ggc. They have it on sale AT best buy for 20. I should be able to get my price match and still keep my coupon right?? Wrong. I can see if it was on sale at another store then that would be considered an offer and they cant double offers. I just buy another Halo from the exact same store for 15 and walk right out and back in the entrance and return it.
