Best Buy's Reward Zone question

I've never took the time to sign up for this until now.
I found it can be done online so I'm going to give it a shot.

Anyway, I'm on step 2 and I'm already confused. It's asking me to select a "Certificate Threshold: $5 (250 pts), $10 (500 pts), or $20 (1,000 pts)."
What does this all mean? Thanks for any clearification.

That means they want to know how many points do you want to have to get before they issue you a certificate. They are all equal (50 points=$1) so there is really no reason not to choose the 5 (250 pts) one.

If you choose the $20 one and earn 980 points, they won't issue you a certificate until you earn 20 more points. If you choose the $10 one and earn 980 points, they will issue you a $10 certificate, and you will have 480 points pending towards the next certificate. If you choose the $5 one and earn 980 points, they will issue you a $10 certificate, a $5 certificate, and you will have 230 points pending towards your next certificate.

Cheadyp is referring to the amount of rewards. For every 250 points you earn, you get a $5 certificate. That breaks down to $1 in rewards for every 50 points (so, $1 back for every $50 you spend).
