best deal for a 30gb ipod

If you don't mind getting a refurb, that's probably the best deal you're going to get, seeing that ipods NEVER go on sale for any significant amount at most places

I herd refurbs are as good as new, i have about 4 friends with refurbs, all seem mint but one has a little scratch under the screen

They come with the same warranty as abrand new ipod.

i JUST received my refurb in the mail yesterday and im happy with it so far. works like new and case looks like new (i think they are replaced when refurbished?).

I bought my 30GB ipod video as a refurb from apple's store, and I couldn't be happier with it. First of all, they give you a completely new case, so there aren't any scratches, it's like its brand-new. Also, for refurbs, they put them through rigorous testing, moreso than with new ones. On top of that, you get the same 1-year warranty as with new ones. Its really the best deal out there. Good luck.

I can recommend a refurb - I've got a 60 gig and its great; no issues and it looked brand new when I got it.

My sister got a refurb one in October. Came directly from Apple, was in GREAT condition, no scratches, looked like it'd never been used. She hasn't had any problem with it at all. If you do get one, I'd recommend doing so from the Apple Refurbishing site in their store, and not eBay or other, as most eBay sales are bought from apple, marked up $10-30 and resold.

I ordered a refurb one recently, I should be getting it in the mail soon, I'll let you know the quality. It was 30 GB.
do refurbished ipod have brand new batteries installed in them?
New battery, new outer casing...I bought a refurb back in September and I've had zero problems with it. I wouldn't hesitate to make the purchase again.

Well, my refurb came in the mail today and it looked 100% brand new.
