My family is in the market for our first HDTV. We know we would like to get something around 42-47", and would like to keep it as cheap as possible while still getting a quality tv.

I know of a few tv's on Black Friday we have our eye on...
46" Westinghouse 1080p 60hz for $300

42" Sharp 1080p 60hz for $199

Is it worth it to wait in line for hours to try to get one of these, or would I do better waiting until Super Bowl season?

A 42" Sharp for $200 is pretty much unbeatable but good luck getting that... that's pretty much everyone's most wanted deal. You'll like have to wait days to get it since here are plenty of people who don't have lives (jobs) these days.

thoughts on the westinghouse? I think that one will be a little easier to get, but still will require some waiting. is that a can't miss?

It would probably easier... it's 4" large but costs $100 more and it's not a name brand. But still, TVs are usually tough to get during BF and it's at Target, which is usually busier than BBY.

Last year there were people waiting outside my BBY for 4 days for some TV.
