I just picked up a 500 GB Western Digital Black Passport at wal-mart 2 days ago for $50 for that exact purpose. It's the usb 2.0 version and it fits in my pocket. It only needs the wii to power it, and doesn't need an additional source of power. They make a 1TB that fits in your pocket, but it's $120. If you don't mind it being bulky, the deals above are pretty good.
