Best Deal on Heroes HD-DVD?

hmm these aren't much of a deal...i'll probably wait and order from buy.com with GCO. Hopefully by release date that buy.com will offer free shipping. It would be sweet thought if there are any deals that brings Heroes to under 60 bucks.

Since we still have lots of time before the release how about you wait till oh I dont know maybe a week before hand ?

If you need the points for their summer promotion, Best Buy has it for $72 on their website. It says it is an online sale only. Not the greatest price, but if you are doing their promotion, it almost is like getting $10 off.

Wouldn't you wait for it to come out in stores? I mean places like CC, BB, and Target might have bonus or exclusives.

Usually the HD versions don't have anything extra (as far as packaged bonuses). And unlike the standard DVDs, they are never on sale the first week either.

Sometimes Target has them $5 cheaper the first week. But even with that you can usually find them cheaper online.

Does that code work for everything? Just DVD's? Certain DVD's? I don't know how these codes work.

so its coming down to the grind and the best deal so far is FYE for Heroes HD. It comes out to 59.99 after a 10 dollar rebate but tax still has to be added. ANybody has a better deal?

Nope that does seem like the best deal.

If you live near a Gamestop they beat the lowest nationally advertised price. I preorder all my dvd's there and i always get the cheapest price. You can also trade in any 4 dvds (from a major studio) and get 20 dollars off.

I have never seen a Gamestop near me stock new DVDs and definitely not HD DVDs.

I just got disc two from Netflix, and it prompted me for a cookie update. Then the disc froze and refuses to start again--it just goes back to the Dashboard every time I try. Has anyone else had this issue or have any ideas how I can solve it?

Quick question for those who have the discs.

I got mine today (hurrah) and I can't figure out how to access the web-enabled features. Are they on a specific disc? I've put in discs 1 and 7 to try and find them, but can't. Any help appreciated, and I'm using the 360 add-on if that makes a difference, and it's connected to XBL as I type this.

I vaguely remember reading something about this on the AVS forums. Supposedly the 360 wants to download everything it needs for the web features 1st. You only have to do it once though. Just let it do it's thing with the download (several minutes) and then it will load like it should every other time.

Same here. Won't DL the cookie for me. Go into the System blade- memory -HDDVD and delete whatever is in there. Unplug your 360 from your network and the disc will now play as it won't attempt to DL the cookie.

For anyone else who has this problem, just go into the HD DVD add-on's memory through the Dashboard and delete any "unknown" files. The download went smoothly on the second attempt, and everything worked fine.
