Best Game around $30?

I'm assuming you meant for the 360... You can't go wrong with Tomb Raider: Legend or especially Burnout: Revenge - you'll get many many hours out of Burnout and it's really fun (probably the best racing game I've ever played).

I would have to agree with javeryh, you can't go wrong with Burnout if you have Live because you will play for hours on end and it is well worth 30.
 
oblivion is close in price, ive only played the demo of revenge (played a lot of takedown) and its outstanding imo.
 
I got Oblivion for $30 like last month.

Got Viva Pinata for $25.

COD2 for $20.

Yeah, there are alot of good games in the sub $30.

Condemned, Burnout... Table Tennis.
 
Project Gotham Racing 3, enough of a sim to feel realistic, enough of an arcade to be fun. The only launch game I still play on regular basis and definetly my favorite.
 
question... if I already have Burnout Revenge on regular XBOX, and I'll be playing mostly on a normal-def TV, do you think the 360 version would still be worth it? I'm wondering if there's enough improvements/new stuff to justify re-buying it.

I woudn't recommend it then. If you're looking for a great driving game, go for Test Drive Unlimited or Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
 
Launch titles are all 20 used nowadays.
Or, you can pick up a 1600 MSP card and get Small Arms and Mad Tracks(when it comes out).

You know, I did the same thing. I had BO Revenge on regular XB, played the hell out of it, then got the 360 version later on. The graphics are much better, but overall I didn't play it nearly as much. So, IMO, I'd recommend waiting for next year's version.
 
And I vote for Fight Night Round 3 or Tomb Raider Legend as an around $30 pick. Both should be available for under $30 used on our trading forums or eBay.

I *LOVE* Tomb Raider legend and it's universally $30 now so I'd recommend it too.

Oblivion's great of course, but I haven't seen it for much less than list yet.
 
Oblivion is at Gamestop (used) until the 1st of January at 29.99, although when I checked last they were back ordered.
 
Honestly, none of the games mentioned thus far are worth wasting your $30 GC. If you can save the card for a while then I would recommend it. Or, if you can find a copy of Lego Star Wars II for $30 then get that. Otherwise, yea, save the cash for later.
 
What you could do is wait for the next buy 2 get 1 free used at EB/GS. I have a $25 giftcard there from Christmas (plus $30 credit). Most of the games people are talking about.. such as Tomb Raider (great GREAT game btw!!) are around $20-$25 used. So obviously you can get 3 games for about $40-$50, minus your $30 giftcard.. you'd have to dish out $10-$20 at most. I know you said you won't have much money till '07.. but just wait around for it :) (thats WHY we are on CAG!)

So in conclusion: Just wait! They don't expire, so just hold on. Getting 3 games when you only payed $10-$20 is a damn good deal!
