I'm on a hunt right now to get the best GG games and thought you guys could help me. I'll list the games I already have.

Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusions
Riddick Bowe Boxing
Ax Battler
Sonic 2
MLB Baseball

And a couple other games I can't remember off the top of my head. I'd really appreciate your help. There doesn't seem to be many reviews on older games like these.

Joe Montana Football and J-Leauge Football (soccer) are great sports games, and worthy of some time. Another "must have" is the master system to game gear converter. It allows you to play your SMS games, on the GG, and greatly expands the available library.
Shining Force 2 should be your #1 pick. In fact, it's numbers 1-10.
100% complete agreement. That game rocks.

I have dragon crystal and batter up for trade :)

It's been so long I can't remember if they are good.

Hey fellas, thanks for all the games. I just went and bid on about six on Ebay. So much for telling my wife I wouldn't buy anymore games. This site and ebay will be the death of me.

Do you mean Shining Force: Sword of Hajya? That was a great game, I think I'm going to go back and dig it up...

I second that Shining Force: Sword of Hajya is the best game for game gear I used to play that so much, I also really like the first Sonic for game gear that was a really fun game also
do any of you actually have the battery covers for these things because ive had mine since like 95 and i lost both the covers.
Yeah, I have mine. But I did only buy it a few months ago off ebay.

Here is a fairly compelte list of all the US releases. The Japanese Pengo is worth finding if you like that old arcade machine.

Halley Wars is a great but obscure arcade slide and shoot game. The GG version is the only US home release of this title, IIRC.

Another obscure favorite of mine on GG was also released on the Atari Lynx. Alternately called Super Sqweek and Slider. This is another classic arcade game well suited to the GG's abilites.

I can't believe nobody has said this yet but OutRun. Aww man, that was one of the greatest racing games back in the day. It is still fun now. I wish they would ported it over to the GBA though.

I had totally forgotten about that one. Sort of an obscure title on the GBA.

The only Game Gear game I liked at all was Sonic Spin Ball

Never played many as I was not that big a fan of the system.

Defenders of Oasis is a pretty good RPG.

Crystal Warriors is a good tactical RPG.

I thought Shinobi and Shinobi II were pretty good games. I remember changing suit colors to use different weapons. Ninja Gaiden wasn't that bad either.

Any of the mickey mouse games were good too and of course sonic.

Mortal Kombat sucked. I remember using Johnny Cage to punch Shang Tsung in the balls would cause the game to crash! I still remember the "blood code" in order to do the real fatalities.
