I was thinking about what I use my GBA Micro for - basically when I don't have the time or room for the DS, I bring the Micro.

So what are the perfect games for a small screen, short amounts of time, and are provide a lot of satisfaction?

WarioWare Megamicro Games (if not just for Dr. Wario)
Street Fighter II Turbo Revisited
Super Mario Brothers III

those are the three that I think I would want - though now I only have Warioware in my possession.

Buy Dr.Mario/Puzzle League. Seriously.

I hate Dr. Mario, but Puzzle League is a bare-bones version of Tetris Attack, the best puzzle game ever made. I take it everywhere with me...it's perfect for killing 5 or 10 minutes between class.

Zoocube

Fire Emblem / Advance Wars (you can stop and save at any point)

Castlevania

Metal Slug

Silly as it sounds, Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games is a Nintendo published Track and Field clone. It's a very fun pick up and play and is about $10 @ TRU right now. Very fun, if just for Triple Jump and Hamster Beach Volleyball. :applause:

Gotta second Advance Wars... you probably won't be able to find the first one new, but there are plenty of AW2 floating around, and it's a superior game. Tremendous fun, very clever, addictive as all get out, and good for short bursts or marathon sessions. Essential GBA gaming.

Too many to mention..

but some off the norm favorites of mine are.

Ninja 5-0..Old school ninja gaming
Warioland 4...Great platformer with a cool twist
LOTR (return of the king or two towers- Portable Diablo, nuff said.
Karnaaj Racer - despite the name and box a steller top down racer.
Iridion II - a really fun shump.

anyone try AW or FE on a micro? Great game but I worry the screen might to a bit too small.

I've played three RPGs: Sacred Stones, Riviera, and FFIV on the Micro. No problems at all. If anything, I thought it was better on the Micro since the text was much more crisp and bright to boot.

I've been playing Zelda: Minish Cap on mine lately, plays VERY well on it I'm finding.

WarioWare: Twisted! - If you like WarioWare: Mega Microgames, then you'll probably enjoy the sequel too. This time the game is built on a motion sensor cartridge and all the microgames are control by moving the GBA back and forth.

Sonic Pinball Party
Lost Vikings (Always good)
Final Fantasy I-II and IV...they just look so good on the screen (need my DS Lite...)
Klona 1 and/or 2
I'll second Metal Slug and Castlevania

Was just straightening out my game library this morning and remembered a couple other GBA classics that would do well on the micro:

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
Astroboy (developed by Treasure!)

I had a lot of fun with both... very good for short bursts of play.

Konami Arcade Advance. Read the IGN write-up about it, and they're dead on. Quick, easy games with a great amount of replay.
Frogger - Using the konami code you get an updated look
Scramble - Kind of like Defender, but only one way and upgraded graphics with the K-Code
Time Pilot - Asteroids, but with airplanes and through time
Gyruss - Like Tempest
Yie Ar Kung Fu - Surprisingly deep and fun Kung-Fu game
Rush'n attack - Like Contra, has 2 additional levels with the K-code.

...
and its only 9.99

Been playing it for the last 3 days, and I'm almost able to beat Scramble.

Killing 5 or 10 minutes between class? Berkeley, CA? Do you go to Cal?

Any games really IMO, I haven't tocuhed my old SP since I got one except to play some GBC games. The Micro's screen is extremely crisp and brillant, which is often the case with smaller LCDs anyhow IIRC.
