Best HDTV for About $2000

I need an HDTV for my recently finished basement. I would like atleast a 50" and my price range is ~$2000 and I 've been searching but can't really find a TV that has good reviews. What would you guys suggest?

Yeah, get an LCD. They are dropping is price FAST right now. I've got a 23" Sony and a 40" XBR. I play on the small one most of the time and when I go all night I play on the big one. Games, DVDs, and HD programs look incredible on both.

Find a clearanced Aspect by Hitachi set at Circuit City

Should not be more than $900, picture quality is on par with $2000 Hitachi models, several inputs [including a HDCP enabled DVI port and three components]

Size is 52 and 61 inches depending on which you can find

For a projection TV, the image is near tube/LCD quality even in low daylight/store lighting.
