best infamous preorder price?

58 bucks? Are you 100% sure of that? The american website (walmart.com) lists it for 59. So in Canada it must be higher.......


Anyway with that said, I pre-ordered at Amazon.ca. I'm hoping the price will lower some more. It started off at 69.99 like most new games now, then dropped to 66.99, I'm assuming it will drop even more before release to possibly 59.99, maybe even more who knows.
 
I was figuring that the Amazon price would only drop once, so I was disappointed when it was only down to $66.99. It would cost me more to get out to a Walmart than to just stick to my Amazon order, so I think I'll just do that and hope it drops further.
 
Ah yeah I just saw it on RFD now, seems like a good deal. Man I wish the Canadian Walmart site was even half as good as the american one, guess I have to actually go to see if they do it near me.
 
People at RFD are saying that apparently the $58 price at Walmart is on top of the $10 deposit you put down, so it's actually $68 there. This makes Amazon.ca the cheapest option I'm aware of, at $66.99.
 
ya im not sure about walmart...i paid 10 for the preorder but they couldnt tell me the final price...wanted to play the demo and the game looks good so dont want to wait for an amazon order to save a few bucks...

I'm glad amazon.ca is still looking like the best deal because I ordered it from them a while ago. Anyone think they'll go a little lower again?
 
All I'm hoping for is a continuous spike in the Canadian dollar so I'll get some of my money back and pay $60 and not $70 for inFamous, although I won't be upset either way. It's almost at 87 U.S.; maybe if it gets to 90-92 U.S. they will lower the prices back to $60.

Can anyone confirm that inFamous is or is not a trade-3 game? I have a couple games I wouldn't mind getting rid of, this would be excellent.

I don't see why not. Every game that I've heard of has been on the list, including some I haven't.

I did it last week, so yes, inFamous is eligible for the trade 3 promo. You also get an exclusive superpower code for pre-ordering :).

too bad we canadians get nothing close to you guys for good deals...also our amazon kinda sucks...you never get games on release day...ive waited months for games from them in the past...also a much more limited selection than the US store...

That is not how it was explained to me when I purchased the Pre-Order kit from my Walmart. I guess I will find out soon enough. To be on the safe side I will simply print off the cheapest price I can find, and take it in with me when I go to pick up the game.
 
It's great to hear that you can do a trade 3 for inFamous! I assume it's the usual routine where every game has to be worth at least $8? I'm going by an EB on Tuesday so I was really curious about this, I'll take some games with me and hopefully 3 of them will be worth $8. And I really hope they still have some pre-order weapon codes left.

I'm gonna try to dump 3 of these PS3 games: Skate 1, Motorstorm, Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, Dark Sector, Singstar ABBA, and Meteos for DS. I think Meteos is only worth $7 though.
 
Anyone who pre-ordered the game from EB Games, did you already get the voucher for the special ability, or does that come when you pick up the game?

I pre-ordered it last week and I didn't get anything. However, the guy who took my pre-order never even heard of the game, so I don't think he knew about the promo...
 
They told me that they will give me the voucher on the day of release. Hopefully, they will also give me a voucher for that Uncharted 2 MP Beta!
 
Thanks, everyone. I had a tough discussion with Assassin's Creed, Folklore and Resistance last night, and I let them know that I'm just not that into them anymore. Folklore had a hard time understanding, but Assassin's Creed... well, I had gotten sick of it a while ago, so I watched the ending on YouTube last night. Wow. Suddenly, I couldn't dump it fast enough. To think of the hours I wasted on it, and for that?

Anyway, I dropped them off at EB and got a shiny preorder for inFamous, voucher and all.

I called EB in Toronto and they said they're giving out the weapon codes now, while supplies last. The Uncharted beta is included inside the game box.

As for Walmart, when you pre-order they give you an empty box that has the inFamous demo code in it.

Thanks. I think knowing that I have fully paid for my copy, they will keep my code in the back until the day comes that I pick it up.

Now if somebody could give me the inFamous demo code before it arrives on the 21st. I'm dying to try this game out; me being Sucker Punch Productions's biggest fanboy.
 
Just a small update on my situation: I just went up to the EB Games in Eatons Centre and I just told them that I didn't receive my voucher and they gave me one (after checking my receipt of course)
 
I just got back from the same EB, pre-ordered with a trade 3 and picked up my voucher, no problem. Remember: scratch it off, don't peel! What I found strange is that the game releases May 26th, and the code is valid starting June 2nd. I assume this is just because they printed the vouchers before they bumped up the game's release date. The code will probably work at launch.
 
Not sure if you're referring to my post, but I was talking about the Jiggawatt Blades code. I don't remember when the U2 beta goes live but it's in June.
 
Did a trade in 3 yesterday for it.
After watching the video's I decided I loved Crackdown too much not to play this. Climbing building, collecting shards (orbs), and force lightning :D

If anyones interested Mountain Equipment Co-Op sells a pretty good sling bag like the one in the game. No yellow though but a good price $21.
 
Traded in Warhawk, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Quantum of Solace yesterday for it. I was told about the Uncharted 2 mp beta, but I wasn't informed of any special weapon. Might have to head back today and see what's up.
