Sorry if this is a repost! I just bought a NES and was wondering what are some good games to get for it, im not very knowlegable about NES

There's so many to choose from!
When I re-bought my NES, I picked up Contra, Blaster Master, Metroid, Bionic Commando, Mega Mans (all) on eBay.
 
For the 8-bit NES, my top 5 fave games are

1. The Legend of Zelda
2. Super Mario 3
3. Mike Tyson's Punch-out
4. Mega Man 3
5. Super Mario 1

Other recommended games I can think of off the top of my head are: basically any mega man, kung-fu, bubble-bobble, contra, life-force, and double dragon

Also in addition to ones mentioned, Burger Time, Double Dragon, Castlevania, Excite Bike, Duck Hunt, Hogan's Alley, Little Nemo, RC Pro Am, Rad Racer, Ninja Gaiden...

There's so many great games you really can't go wrong! :)
 
If you like RPGs don't forget Dragon Warrior 2 and Final Fantasy 1.

Gradius 3 (or was that SNES?)

Most of the games listed already by others are great too.
 
Darkwing Duck is the best liscensed Mega Man clone ever created. Buy it now. Oh, and then there's a few more no one's mentioned yet: Monster Party is really fun, but hard as hell, Air Fortress is highly underrated, and there's more, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna go up to check, there's 16 steps leading up to my room....

Alot of people are going to disagree with me, but I always liked Friday the 13th. If you want a cheesy game that will make you jump, try this. Be warned though, it's not that easy.

Man, there are so many great NES titles...

Personally, I always liked Nightshade. It's a quirky superhero game, with an ingenious continue system. It's also extremely difficult, though.

TETRIS (the nintendo grey cartridge version)

The only game i've NEVER got tired of. My parents even play the game still to this day at their house they have a Tetris tv and a televison watching tv. Their Tetris never gets turned off 24/7/365 they try to beat each others high score. :shock:
