I already have a job, but like many facing the hard economic times, I need another source of income.

I am already a member of ChaCha and try and write part time for Associated Content, but those two online opportunities aren't consistent enough to really help with paying the bills.

So fellow CAGers, any suggestions for jobs I can partake in online on my day off?
Whats associated content? I used to do ChaCha until they dropped their rates
Ya $.10 a question really sucks now. Anyway, http://associatedcontent.com
is a website that accepts written articles from anyone over 18 and they give you a small payment Up Front for most articles and then some cents for every page view the article gets. The money you can make with them depends on how Ad friendly the article is and how many people view your article, as the up front payment is usually only $3-$5.

Have you tried Epinions and PriceGrabber? They're both product review sites. The former owns shopping.com and is partnered with eBay (if you've seen reviews on eBay, they're likely from that). You'll get virtually nothing for just one review and are paid monthly depending on how popular it is, but if it is the first review for that specific product, you can potentially earn more. Then there are frequent events like 5 reviews for $5, and there's also an annual bonus of at least $20 for just being active.

PriceGrabber is pretty self-explanatory, but you can get $5 a review if the item has the rebate offer attached. Otherwise, you get nothing.

There's also Amazon's Mechanical Turk. You get paid anywhere from 1 cent to $10 to verify item descriptions and other simple tasks. I don't know much about this one, but it was controversial for being a virtual sweatshop.

The best way is probably to make a popular blog and sell ads or a website with referral links, like this one. As far as I know, this site is CheapyD's sole job, so it's certainly viable.

Anybody here on CAG still using ChaCha regularly? Before December, I could get get a steady stream of questions to answer once I logged into the website. I've stopped using ChaCha 2-3 months ago because I've logged on for 2-3 hours and I'm lucky if I get two questions. I even added keywords like they suggested on their forums, but still nothing. I'm still wondering how people are making Top Guide status when I can't get even get questions. Currently, has ChaCha gotten any better or updated their system?

Go around your house and put any unwanted books/CDs/cassettes/games on Amazon marketplace. Pretty easy money, but not instant for the most part. LiveJournal has some active selling communities as well, and Craig's List for some old stuff like furniture you might have in your basement or lying around you don't particularly need or use. Probably not what you meant, but it's certainly an easy way to clean up your house and make some money haha.

Opinion Place (only a few bucks here and there - but very easy. Have your choice of Paypal, Amazon GCs and more. Make sure you set for special invitation emails so you get more surveys, too. They usually give you your money within 2-3 weeks from taking a survey, but are reallly good.)

Opinion Outpost (also only a few bucks here and there, but seems to get a lot more surveys. Unfortunately, they only cut you a check and not Paypal direct deposit.)

SayNation (surveys for GCs or Paypal credit, takes awhile to build credit here but they do have daily surveys. i've received a few Amazon GCs.)

You could also do Trainn referral sites and pay people $20/referral or something, and get the cash prizes. Like pay $140 to your referrals to get $350 cash prize or something. Pretty easy profit. Anything4Free can help with that, as well as the referral forum here.

The questions have started to come back in like they did earlier last year, but as that improved they changed their pay system "coincidentally."
Now, instead of giving us a chance to make Top Guide and earn 20 cents a question, everyone gets the same pay based on the category of the question. Common questions like Yellow Book look-ups get only 10 cents, while Math questions get 22 cents. On average, you will be getting around 12 cents a question, so if you made Top Guide all the time in the old system, your pay is now cut by over 40%. Lets just say that it hasnt gone over well with the Guide community.

I too am interested in this.....but i don't do the surveys because i am afraid of these sites giving out my personal info. Long ago i used to play web games and earned points toward stuff...but every time i was about to purchase something with the points they jacked up the cost and i never got anything.
Blogs, articles is the only safe way to go.

points2shop.com if you don't mind skimming through loads of ads and filling out offers, a lot of them are free and you can get around 30 cents to a dollar for each online offer you fill out. some are surveys or want you to sign up at a website or install some software (which you can uninstall after the offer approves). i would suggest making another e-mail because it will get spammed hardcore if you go through with this....and you don't have to do offers that ask for credit card information, they have free ones to. make sure you read the guides before you begin too. it won't make you a lot of money fast but it's better than nothing.

I was about to sign up for ChaCha, but I bailed when I saw that I needed to fill out a W9. If I only make a couple bucks using the site, I'd rather not have to go through the hassle of reporting that to the government.
