I was playing Rise of Legends at a cousins house and it was a blast.

I want to play some new strategy games. I think it is time to retire Warcraft 3 and Starcraft.

I have Rise and Fall: Civilizations at war and it is okay, not amazing, but okay.
Dawn of War: Dark Crusade is awesome, and I'm probably gonna get the other Dawn of war games soon.
I have Age of Empires 3, but not the EXp pack, and I lost my account info, so I can't play online.
Black and White 2 is okay. I haven't played enough of it to get the expierevce down yet.
I hate Rome: Total War. I like the "Build up a city and army type gameplay", and I don't like the Rome formula at all.

Any suggestions? Preferably cheap suggestions?

While its not a RTS game, one of my all-time favs is the PC adaption of the Avalon Hill board game Axis & Allies, and the Iron Blitz expansion. I really wish they would make a DS port for this game.
Stick with Starcraft?

Heh.

Edit: That signature has got to be way over the limit.

Edit2: Yeah, I think that's about 1700 kb over the limit. fuck, I could put up my full-screen EMP Recall signature (which, for the record, looks fucking awesome at full size) and still have it smaller than that.
Fixed... I didn't even think about it, sorry.

Warcraft 3 is fun. I like RTS's better than Turn Based Strategy Games

I would definately recommend these RTSs

Age of Empires 2 +Exp (Way better then 3 if you ask me)
Command and Conquer 3(The best in the series)
Rise of Nations +Exp
Company of Heroes
STARCRAFT!

For a mix of turn based and realtime (you watch the fight between turns) pick up any of the Combat Mission games.

Another vote for Total Annihilation on the RTS side.

Homeworld would be another good one.

Buy the Command&Conquer First Decade collection for $30. It has every C&C worth playing on one DVD (though you need several patches to get the damn thing to work correctly).

For "current" titles I would say:

Civ IV for turn-based.
Company of Heroes for real-time.

Both have expansions coming out shortly. Company of Heroes is made by the same people that made Dawn of War, I think.
