Best Pizza Chain

There might be a "least bad" pizza chain, but not a "best". Using the word "best" implies anyone of them are worth eating... and if you've never tried a small local pizza shop, you've never had good pizza.

But I will give CiCi's an honorable mention, simply for the $4 all you can eat smorgasbord.

The pizza is decent for the cost. I have kids so picking up a couple of pizza's for $10 bucks after one of their baseball games is a deal.
They all suck. If you EVER come out to NYC, throw me a PM and I'll take you out for some real pizza. I'm talking shit that will have you hating pizza hut.
Wow... if only I could get back up to the North East for some real pizza... its been like seven years =( I miss those days. Still, the best chain would have to be Papa John's. My roommate works there... so cheap pizza is always nice! Pizza Slut is just nasty!!!!! I always have gotten sick eating there.

What am I sorry for?

You have to eat at pizza chains.

Having lived in both NYC and Chicago, I can say that Chicago pizza beats NYC pizza's ass. Granted, Lombardi's was awesome, but it just doesn't hold a candle to Edwardo's, Lou Malnatti's, or Gino's.

Damn I forgot about Caesar's. Yes, that is the best damn pizza place. Get a Hot 'n Ready deal for $5 and add some Crazy Bread and you have yourself pizza chain nirvana.
Not a chain, but if you're in the area, 3 Brothers from Italy pizza on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
OMG!!! Yes! I have been there! I love Seaside Hieghts... was a bit of a drive from where I lived... but damn what a great place!

Does Pizzeria Uno count? Not so healthy, but then again its pizza and if you get one of the interesting ones its toping-rific.
If we are making this a exclusively thin pizza conversation, I am not that familiar with eating at the chains other than Dominos and the occasional Hut - I have no preference. Actually I do - the Sbarros in the mall where I grew up was AWESOME. Now I go to the ones in NYC and they suck. Don't know what to make of that - maybe it was a Corporate owned versus Franchise thing. Whatever - I'm over it.

The real question for all the NYC CAGs is which is the best NY Pizza - I love Johns (Lombardis is a close second - they burn their crust which is a little annoying).

Far and away the best pizza I've ever had is at Pizza Luce. They have a really offbeat menu, but everything is so ungodly incredible. I'm talking tastebud orgasm of the highest order. If you're ever in Minneapolis, you need to try it out.

I liked Lombardi's better than Johns.

For cheap (by-the-slice) Pizza, I recommend Tony's on 6th Ave and 31st (I think). They are great.

I haven't had chain pizza in a long time. For the past year or two, I've just been making my own pizza whenever I want it. I get fresh mozzarella, meatballs, and proscuitto from the Italian deli across the street, then make my own sauce and dough from scratch. It just tastes so much better when you make it yourself; instead of greasy and heavy like a chain place, homemade pizza is actually kind of light, especially if you make the crust thin. It's actually pretty easy to make too, so anyone who has a kitchen should give it a shot.

I prefer my pizza thing, so I'll have to disagree. Though if you're not in Chicago or NY, don't bother.

The chains are all pretty bad IMO, but I would rank your choices in this order:

Papa John's
Cici's
Pizza Hut
Domino's

One chain you forgot is Sbarro's and I think Round Table is a big chain on the west coast. (I'm sure there are plenty of others, too.)

Best Pizza I've had is a Pizza Margherita from Baffeto's in Rome, Italy. (I probably spelled the place's name wrong...)

Lombardi's in NYC is excellent though. It's also a cool place to go as they have a real wood fire oven. A new place in NYC wouldn't be able to put one of those in due to fire regs, I'm pretty sure.

cicis is the best.. 3.99, all you can eat, PLUS you can order any kind of pizza you want directly to your table! what beats that you may be asking.. only their delicious desserts! mmm cicis...
MMMM....Topper's
Wow they got topper's out in Wisconsin?
My vote goes for Pizza Hut, but the best pizza I've ever had was at this little hole in the wall pizza-by-the-slice place in San Diego. It was ridiculously amazingly good. Like instant mouth-gasm good.
