Best place to get videogame soundtracks?

grundy

CAGiversary!
I've been able to pick up a few video game soundtracks usually through reserve promotions at GS/EB (like Castlevania) or when it actually comes with the game (like Silent Hill 3). I think I've even seen the soundtrack for Halo 2 in the regular CD soundtrack section at the music store.

But there are a lot of games that I wish I could find the music, too (Space Channel 5 being at the top of the list followed by Resident Evil 1 - 3 among others).

So does anyone know where I could obtain CDs of this nature at a reasonable price?

Thanks,
-Brian

I have had luck buying game soundtracks off of eBay. Just make sure that the CD is an original and that the seller has a good reputation.

What was it called.. TokyoPop or something like that a long time ago that had super cheap deals from time to time. Now I'm not too sure.

Oh and btw, I think this goes in the "Request a Deal" forum.

These retailers are going be about as "reasonable" as it gets. CDs in Japan are expensive, so if you're looking for game soundtracks, you should be prepared to spend more than you're used to here in America.

Be mindful of bootlegs, which you'll find plenty of on eBay and with other unscrupulous retailers. This page is a helpful resource for soundtrack newbies:
