Hey,
Not sure if anyone has any ideas for this one. I would love it to be pick up day one, but the one I see that is tempting is from Best Buy. They have it down at $59.99 and then a $5 discount for online. Only problem is how long will I be waiting to get it. I also have FS credit but they told me they don't do preorders in store. Kinda stupid though, if im willing to give you money right now and guarantee you a sale, you should probably take it.

Any other ideas?

EB is supposedly going to be giving out a book of some sort with pre-orders. I haven't heard about anything elsewhere, so they get my pick. They're still asking $69.99 for it though... I trade-3ed some junk for it.

It should get to you within 3-5 days I believe. I get my Blu-Ray steelbook orders from FS in 5 days sometimes, but a few times I got it ON release day or a day after it.

I say trade-in at EB if you have 3 qualifying games, or 2 games + $20. If not, you should just order from BB since you're essentially saving $15?

It's a great game, I'm 5 chapters into the Japanese version. :)

However I might have to preorder a NA version if there's a bonus at EB...

Ya, well i haven't heard a ton about a pre-order bonus. THey don't even list it really or give any details about it on the website.
I do have a few games I probably could trade, but I think I would rather just get the game and trade those others on Goozex for other newer games that I am not buying at retail price. I guess its just down to deciding if I want it opening day and get at EB, or if I want to save $15 and wait a couple days to a week for delivery.

Thanks for your input guys.

I'll be grabbing it at EB, since most online places only accept credit cards. Though, there may be a few sales around launch week and, if it's not too drastic, EB will price match. I'm just surprised that there isn't a whole lot of advertising for it, nor any word of good pre-order stuff or CE's in Canada/US.

Wow, EB finally put a little sign up at one of my local shops. The book is apparently a exclusive strategy guide. Not much for details, one would hope it's the full retail guide with a new cover. I'm expecting it's some 10 page advertisement for the retail guide though...

Maybe it'll be like the instruction manual for FF8 - the strategy guide for the first dungeon area.

^ There wasn't much in the beginning at all though.

If anything I would imagine it would just be a guide to the battle system, or new/unique features and such or a brief intro to the story?

I preordered a copy at GS today, the girl told me they will be getting that strategy guide thing, so looks like they've been informed. No LE kind of sucks because I would LOVE a NA LE/CE, enjoyed the 5 chapters I've played so far.
...I'd sooner get a poster than a strategy guide... Why are there never poster pre-order bonus' =\
According to the little flyer at EB Games, pre-ordering FF13 gets you a mini strategy guide AND a poster. The website, however, just mentions the guide.

In the Deals forum a fellow Canadian has discovered FFXIII available for $54.99 at BB.ca. Simply add the game to your cart to receive the discount.
