Best place to shop for desktop memory?

I've always had good luck going thru ramseeker.com

Usually 1-800-memory ends up being the cheaper option, but it's even cheaper if you go thru ramseeker.com

Also, you can try dealram.com

No, I'm not affiliated with either :)

In the L.A. ad (not sure about Texas) they also had a 1 Gb PC3200 stick for $79.99 after rebate which is pretty good considering how much ram prices have gone up in the past few months.

If you could wait a few months, till next year, ram prices should go back down to what they were before, if not lower.

I added Norton Net Security 2007 and its slowed me down a bit.

I dont think 3200 will fit the motherboard I have.

I noticed ram prices when helping OP. Anyone know why prices on ram got hiked up so high? I bought ram for my pc a few month ago got a gig for $83, now the same ram is $113.

All the different PC Makers and OEM shops bought them all up for the holidays. And with AMD going to DDR2, the demand for both kinds of ram have shot up.
