Best Price on Chappelle's Show - Season 2 Pre-Order?

it probably wont get cheaper than that, considering deepdiscountdvd has it for $28.80 with free shipping...they're usually the cheapest

by the way, DDD has a release date for it on 4/5/5

Yeah they wanted to release it around the time of season 3, but they had to delay season 3 due to his sickness and a lack of ideas from February to April.

The new maxim lists a release date of 2/8/5, which got my hopes up. However, I imagine Amazon would know better.
Maybe this thread can be used as to Share-the-Love for it?

Two of his televised stand-up routines are on "On Demand" right now if you have Comcast. They are free to watch and they are funny as hell. It's from San Fran in 1998 and DC in 2000, I think...

One of the shows you might be talking about is Killing Them Softly. It is possibly the funniest stand up hour of all time.

So the SRP for this is $39.99? The first one was $19.99 when I bought it at Bestbuy the day it came out. Has the popularity of the 2nd season shot the price up?

yeah, the hour long one is Killing Them Softly... and it is definitely up in the Top 10 comedy shows of all time...
the reason the price shot up is because it has tons more stuff on it, 3 discs w/ like 10 more episodes then the first season etc. etc.
I hope so. The 1st season DVD was pretty bare bones. Not a lot of extras.

I believe the second season had 13 episodes, 14 max, not including the "best of" type episodes. Season one had 12 episodes, not including the "best of" episodes. There are not 10 more episodes, so perhaps there is one more disc for more features (such as commentaries for more/all episodes), and/or better quality video.

I think the best thing to do is wait until the week of release. It's bound to be on sale somewhere.

Ouch! That sucks.
yeah, definitely

Maxim had a review of it in their Feb 2005 issue. I'm not saying they're the most reliable at reviews (gave The Getaway Black Monday 5/5 stars wtf????) but they did say it's 3 DVDs with extras, etc.
