Best system in the 16-24 bit generation?

Hey Idiot if you want to talk shit why dont you go to another forum and do it asshole! If you got nothing good to post well dont post at all.
 
In the end I will always think SNES. To me it had the largest variety of games for different genres. The only category the Genesis seemed to always win was sports games. I don't know anyone personally who owns a TG16 and even now there's only a few games I would actually want for it. Neo was good but mostly for fighting games, many of which got (less than perfect) home ports.
 
You can not beat the RPG's on the SNES!!!!!

Secret of Evermore
Shadowrun
Super Metroid
Killer Instinct

Just some of the greatest games.

I would have to agree with the earlier post stating the Neo as the best, but there is always a place deep in my heart for MKII with the 6-button controller on the Genesis.
 
If you like RPG's there's no debate. SNES.

If you like Fighting games, then Neo Geo is the best.

Neo Geo wouldn't actually fit in this poll since it actually was 24 bit...... just tossing in my 2 cents

That Zilog chip can be classified as a co-processor, so most people regard the Neo Geo as a 16-bit machine. But I admit thats open for debate.
 
Well for me it has to be the Sega Genesis because it was the first system I saved my money for, playing altered beast all day (only game I had for two months) and being able to play ports of Sega arcade games.

Still, the use of the coprocessor means that it isn't a native 16-bit. Now if there was a way to judge the NG without the Z80 operating than it may be a fair comparison, but as long as it runs, it fails to be a true 16 machine.
 
After playing an emulator of SNES, I realize that its the best out of the systems you listed. For so long I thought sega genesis was better, but I think there were more memorable titles for SNES.

During the time, I actually liked the commodoreAMIGA (16 bit home Personal computer) for gaming the BEST, since its graphics and sound was much better and sharper than SNES.

No, it wasn't. don't fall for the marketing blather. By the rationale they gave for calling the Neo-Geo 24-bit the Sega Genesis also deserved that description. Both were Motorola 68000 systems with a Z80 as a subsystem controller. (The Z80 in the Genesis also served as CPU when used with the Power Base Converter to run Master System games.)

The Neo-Geo's processors ran at a higher clock, 12.5 Mhz vs. 8 Mhz for the M68K, and the NG had a substantially more powerful video processor as well as more RAM. About 90% of the difference came from the video processor alone, which also accounted for much of the expense.

SNES ruled. Genesis had a few good ones like Vectorman, Gunstar Heroes, the Sonics, etc.. but SNES had so many that they wouldn't fit. The RPG's were great, fighters were amazing (Street Fiighter II, best MKII at the time) and graphics were stunning as the soundtracks(Actraiser anyone?) :D :D
 
Genesis for because of 2 games. X-Men and X-Men 2. I just got a SNES but it's pretty good. Besides Neo- Geo's fighters ,what else is there on the system.
 
I've bought/traded games for my SNES in the last year. Despite it's issues with violent games, it's still the best of the bunch. My most played system of all time (less blowing in the cart than the NES)
