Best trade-in deal on crap games?

I have about 20-30 really really terrible games I've accumulated cheaply in the last few years that I want to get rid of and maybe trade-in for GH2 or something. Any advice that would give me the best value for them?

I only have FYE, Gamecrazy and EBs around my area, and I'm not an Edge card member or anything like this. Also, I completely understand that I'll probably be getting $2 for stuff like Cold Winter and Resovoir Dogs, but if I can get $3 for them at FYE instead, I'd rather do that.

Any decent advice?

You wouldn't happen to have any other stores that sell gaming stuff, but not game branded? There's a couple shops around me that sell and buy "pop art collectibles" or just generic "artsy" crap, and they give decent dollar for old stuff like SNES and N64 games.

Swap them for other games on Craigs List in your area... I've gotten rid of crappy games (Disc only Tony Hawk PS 4) like that. Give it only a week though, so you'll still a second avenue to use.

Definetly try FYE, they usually have a minimum dollar (old sports games for example) trade in and quotes are higher than EB, but sometimes not by much.

Yeah, I figured Craigs List, but I didn't think it would be worth selling them piece by piece. But would anyone really want a group of games that included a PS2 Tenchu game and Mk: Deception for the Gamecube?

The funny thing is, I got all these games super cheap at various clearances brand new, and played them all maybe once or twice, so they are all in pristine condition.

if you have a gamerush near you, they have best trade in prices. like if eb will give you $1.00 the give you $8

i'm in the same dilemma, thinking bout trading all my old games and my xbox towards another 360, anyone know the return policy for game systems at gamecrazy
With GameRush, do you need any kind of card/membership to do trade-ins?
When I did my first trade-in at GR, I had to fill out a form to open up some sort of trading pass account. When I did another first trade-in at a different GR, I had to fill out the same form. But, all of my trade-in credit from any store went onto the same GR/BBV Value Card (giftcard).

OP, you can check sites like wherehouse.com, spun.com, and secondspin.com for values that you might find at FYE. If you have any DS or PSP games, GC and EB/GS will occasionally have nice promos (50% more, $10 more, etc). I got rid of quite a few unwanted/crap games that way and got some hefty credit. Good luck.

Secondspin.com lists the Tenchu games for PS2 @ $2.75 and $3 respectively, with I believe a 20-25% bump if you take credit instead of cash. SO, there you go, as long as you have stuff that SHOWS UP on the site, then it's worth SOMETHING. Otherwise, I think games that don't show up are only worth the $1 previously mentioned.

Unfortunately, Gamestop did away with the $1 minimum, so you're SOL if you go there, but you can always just WALK OUT with your games still in hand.

Easiest way to get the Gamestop trade price is to find what they sell each game for used, divide it in half, then take another $1-3 off of THAT amount.

It's been an equation that's worked pretty well for me already.

The formula I always use for finding out Gamestop's credit is to find out 25% of the game's cost. That's what I usually get. Also that way you set your expectations low and if you're okay with that, anything more is just icing on the cake. Gamestop has 30% more when you trade in 5 or more games right now. Use that to your advantage.

I'd prefer if they still had the $10 extra credit for 3 games, as 30% more of nothing is still friggin nothing.

I used to love those deals, I took advantage of them all the time. I guess with the console generation swap we won't be seeing it for a while again though.
