CAGiversary!
Here's the deal. I got a my Playstation two a long time ago. I haven't played it in month because I guess I lost interest in it. Then I read about the newer, smaller version coming out and I would love to upgrade my old system to that. I figure if I do that I will get my interest back in the system and then I could start playing all these games I haven't touched yet. So Where could I trade in the system and get the best/most deal/money from? Like I said in the topic The system in in 100% working condition and I have everything that cames with it, all in excellent condition. I am a comllector so I have treated this system quite well. Thanks to everyone that reads this and anyone that helps me.

Jason

PS. I don't want to trade in any of my games. All the games I have are one I want to keep for collecting purposes.

Yeah, the deal ends soon so you might not get the games on time if you order SAVER from ebgames.com. Maybe you can find cheap games at a B&M GameStop.

So here's the deal straight of EBGAMES website

PS2 HW and PS2 games - up to $150 trade-in value Expires 10/30/2004
Trade-in a working PO-PS2 SYSTEM ALL and 1 to 5 pre-played PS2 games and receive up to $150.00 in trade-in credit. System trade-in value is $100 and each game value is $10. Game boxes and instructions are required. May not be combined with any other offer or discount. Limit of 5 trades per customer. See sales associate for complete details. Customer may be responsible for sales tax. Game must be in working condition.

So, lets say you buy 5 games for 5 bucks a piece at a B&M store, Trade in your PS2 and the 5 games for 150. Couldn't you then go online, use the store credit on ebgames.com to either 1) buy a new PS2 slim, 2) Buy a used PS2 + controller + madden 2004 and another game for 120, and have 30 left over in store credit.

So really, You're making 30 store credit, and losing your ps2 for a week or so?

Anyone see problems with this? The only problem I see is the UP to 150

Skitzle: I don't think you can use store credit online. Also, you neglected the fact that you already spent $25 on games in the first place.

ok. what are other stores trade in prices then? and did the newer system come out already or is it coming out soon? are there any reviews of the system?

just too bad it wasnt CASH instead of credit... Then again if youc an get 5 cheap games for 2-3 each 15 buck total. go to pawn shops they have Xbox and PS2s for 80-100 total spent 95-115 to get 150 credit...
