Best video game ending

I know an ending that sucks. That is Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. Talk about Bullshit. I was severely let down by that one.

I think that should go for another topic, my other one about worst endings.
 
Final Fantasy IX for the sappy factor.

Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross for the excellent closing themes.

X-Wing Flight Simulator b/c you got to blow up the Death Star. :)
 
The mini-game endings to Soul Blade, I liked them because they tied into the character very well, especially Mitsurgi (the sword vs the gun..)

Dark Cloud - the change in tone was really well done, and the last level's cut scene style really adds the needed emotional impact.
 
Baldur’s Gate II: Throne of Bhaal. This game just brought the previous Baldur’s Gate games to an awesome ending. The finally battle was so intense. This is one of if not the best RPG for the PC.
 
Best Endings?

As much as I hated some things about FFX, it's ending was great (the hate wasn't why I liked the ending, by the way)..

I personally loved EarthBound's ending.

Can't think of much more at the moment.
