Best way to dump old consoles and accessories?

Trying to figure out the best way to make a decent profit on old xbox consoles, xbox controllers, games, DVD Kit, Memory Card, Headsets and Modules?

Should I look into trading in at gamestop or gamecrazy? Are there currently any good deals going on that would net me a good profit at either store for consoles?

Should I throw it all on ebay and hope people that really want xbox stuff find my auction?

I have my old Xbox setup on Ebay right now. I priced it at first bid of $40 and shipping with insurance at $20. I also have 9 games that go with it.

Right now $60 is about all you should expect for a Xbox in working order. Gamestop is selling them for $59.99.

The best way to sell your set up in my opinion is to research the games title by title and see if they're selling at all on their own. I sold many of my games individually and got $15 a bunch of them (not bad since I purchased on Ebay for not much more). You would be surprised at how well many games will sell on their own.

The rest that aren't selling on their own, throw them into the Xbox auction. A good Xbox with a couple of good games will easily fetch $100. I put KOTR, GTAIII, Vice City, Morrowind GOTY, Tiger Woods '04, and some other stuff in there that didn't really sell well on their own.

Hope this helps. Basically Ebay is your best shot and right now is the time, wait too long and they're only going to sell cheaper and cheaper.

I don't want to hijack Halo3Champ's thread, but does anyone have any advice on unloading even older systems?

I've got a PS1, N64, Panasonic 3DO, and a N-Gage that I'd like to sell off, but I'm not sure what the most effective way to manage it is. Is there even a market for these things?

You might be surprised at the market actually.

You have to use Ebay to gauge the market. Search for the items similar to yours and watch them. If they catch a bid, then you know. If it's not selling on Ebay, then most likely there isn't a current market for your item. Most collectors of anything use Ebay as a proxy for the market demand and price.

Sometimes it's better to sell games individually and sometimes with the console.

You could always just pack them away the best you can and sell them later when they become collectable. Believe me, they will some day. I still have my Atari 2600 and games and they're actually selling on Ebay now for around 20 - 25 bucks or so. Not bad considering my parents paid $103 for it back in 1980. It's still got 1/4 of its value, probably going to start appreciating now.
