best way to trade in a GBA for a GBA SP?

spincut

CAGiversary!
i currently own a GBA, and i'm really frustrated without a backlight and am also a little peeved i bought it pretty much right after they denied a new GB version was coming, and right before they announced the SP.

anyhow, whats the best trade-in deal i can get to put my GBA toward getting a GBA SP?

I want to keep most of the GBA games i have, with the exception of maybe one, super dodgeball, so i could trade that in as well i suppose.

details, i think you still know what i mean though, it still accomplishes the same thing.......i dont imagine you actually have an answer to my question?

Selling it on Ebay will get you the most money. The regular GBA go for about $30 new now, also I would wait until after E3 to get a new GBA sp because Nintendo might come out with another, better one, and everything will further drop in price.

Nope, sure don't.

yes i've long been aware of the afterburn, but then i would not be asking this question if that interested me.

I may wait until after E3, but then, if the SP price went down then wouldnt also the value of the GBA i'm trying to trade in go down also?

i really do not like to use Ebay so i'm still wondering about the trade in deals at the online stores out there, especially if i also have 1 GBA game and a cuople PS2 games to trade in with it.

That's why you sell the GBA now, and then buy a new one after the price drops. Also, you'll get next to nothing for a regular GBA doing a trade-in. Last I remember EB had a deal where you could trade in a GBA + 3 games for $25. Harsh.

**edit: j.ellis, where did you sell it for so much? i beleive mine is also glacier if that matters

response to chris

wow that does kind of suck.

hm, i just really hate using Ebay to sell anything, it's a pain and you have to take the time to ship and pay ebay a small percentage or something.

but if thats the only option (and i cant sell it to someone else i know for around 30 or the same amount i could get for ebay) i might just have to do that.

so hey, lets say i could physically sell it to a person, what would you say would be a good price to make it so i get what u could get, or more than if i did use ebay?

The average person would probably pay $20-$30 for it, and there's a sucker born every minute so go get em!

I sell on ebay regulerly. It's alright. The color is why mine sold for a lot more though. It's a lot harder to find then the other colors here. Anyway good luck. I agree though, if you can DS is best for GBA games. SP, looks cooler and is easier to carry around though so it's a pro and con game. Online Mario Kart, who isn't looking forward to that. And don't say it might not happen, Nintendo will do it by at least years end thats the titular game for the DS online service, not Animal Crossing.

you mean the average ebayer person would pay that right? so i can sell it for 20-30 or more outside of ebay than that would be worth it yeah?

so ellis, glacier is a rare color? because mine's glacier.......but 70 bucks, for serious?

i checked ebay, i saw no glacier GBA's being sold for anywhere near 70, so i have no idea why someone would have bidded so high for one for any reason when they could just have bought it for cheaper.

again i really dont sell on ebay so i would rather sell it to a person, i just dont know whome.
