24 is all week long.

And you can still order these online for half price right now.
I think I might give in and just order BoB...$35 shipped
How did you get it $35 shipped? My total is $37.50 shipped and with tax.

I know about 24, but am kicking myself over Entourage. At least it's only entourage and maybe they'll extend for the entire week.

Um, like I said, you can still order Entourage online for the sale price RIGHT NOW, so what is the problem? Order it online, order it for in-store pickup, it's still on sale.

Exactly, this is what I did with my Six Feet Under dvd.

If it turns out they don't have it in the store when they open back up on the 26th, they will automatically give you free shipping and mail it out.

If you don't have Band of Brothers, you have to pick it up. It was so worth it when i picked it up for 60 bucks over a year ago. 33 dollars... you have no reason to get it!

Damn, the one season of The Wire I need is still $42 even on sale. That's still better than the best price I've seen it for by nearly $20 though. I'd get Rome too but I really want to wait for it in HD.

Yaeh, but that's what I failed to mention and what's the problem, I don't really feel like ordering it online, unless you can do an order for an instore pick up with giving a CC.

Agreed. I got it for $50 and don't regret it whatsoever.

Picked up all 5 seasons of 24, Da Ali G Show Complete Sereeez, and Six Feet Under: The Complete Series. Total: $235. I second it: best deal ever.

The $114 price for the complete Six Feet Under is fucking insane.

Edit: Looks like everything is back to regular price now, except for the 24 seasons which are still $19.99.

Same difference almost >_> That's what I meant I hadn't looked at the final price yet I knew it'd be somewhere around that.

So I ordered for instore pickup...I'll still get the same price even though I'm picking it up tomorrow or Wednesday, right?

Yes. Just make sure you take all the things you're supposed to when you do in store pickup. And also make sure you clear your schedule for that day .. you'll want to watch every episode back to back.

Haha, I've seen like 2 on the History Channel and have wanted it ever since. They were like the 2 last ones I think so that's probably where the least action was (Where they found Hitler's house or something and basically explain everything is over) and that got me hooked on buying it. I can't wait to watch them all.

So back to Rome, how much action is there in it? I keep hearing good things but I don't wanna be bored during it. Does it make you want to watch the next episode really bad right after you watch one?

Absolutely. There's a lot of killing, nudity, etc. And although I'm sure it's probably historically inaccurate, it gives you the feeling that you're truly watching events taking place during Roman times. And the actors are not well known (except for maybe James Purefoy and Ciarin Hinds) but the acting is top notch. Some of the best I've seen in a tv show. Keep in mind however that the HBO portion of the sale ended yesterday.

Thanks, I bought it yesterday, I had never heard of it before then either. I just know a lot (not compared to a history teacher or some expert, but more than the average person I guess) about Rome and it's pretty sweet so I just randomly bought it. Then I ordered Band of Brothers yesterday for instore pickup which I'll be getting Wednesday.

My dad got two copies of 24 Season 4 for Christmas, so I'm going to attempt to exchange the one I got him for Season 3. My store doesn't have it in stock right now, so I went ahead and ordered for in-store pick up at my parents' local store. I'll be there next weekend, so we'll see how well this works out.

Thanks OP!

Completed my collection with S4 and S5. Ended up getting all five seasons for $20 each, can't beat that!

Actually even if you only watch one or two episodes, you'll want to MAKE the time to watch the rest--they're that addicting.
well, I just bought all five seasons with never watching one episode of the show. Hope I like it or I just dropped 100$ for nothing.
I did the same thing. I've seen 5 episodes of Season 1 about 2 years ago and got sidetracked but this deal was too good to pass up. I figure even after I watch them I will make my money back and then some on eBay.

This show is an incredible ride. It is almost guaranteed you will be hooked. I don't mean "Ooooh Heroes/Lost/etc. that show is pretty good, can't want til next February for new episodes" hooked. I mean "I just spent the entire day watching the entire first season of 24 and all I can think is that I fuckING NEED MORE RIGHT GODDAMN NOW" hooked.

^ That's not a lie. That is exactly how it is.

To me, 24 is like The Shield and Dexter, pure total fucking crack!

Yes.

And whoever compared it to The Shield, stop. I hate The Shield. I bought the first season a couple of years ago, and the only reason I'm holding on to it is I haven't thought of a method of destruction that would suit how terrible the show is.
That being said, I've never encountered a person who hasn't said roughly the same thing shammy just did regarding 24. It really is that good.

ARGH, I didn't know HBO sets could be 50% off... anywhere! I can't believe I missed this. I needed the 2nd season of Six Feet Under. I already bought all available seasons of The Wire and Deadwood (and I got them from DDD for like $50+ and thought that was cheap), so I don't feel AS bad for already missing out on them. Would have been nice to tell my friends who would have been interested tho.

My backordered Band of Brothers shipped today.

I unlike most people here could never get into 24. The premises seems cool. But its a show with a guy yelling "I need more time." Now I'm not saying I would never like, or that I hate. I just can't get into it. Maybe one day in the future I will like it.

For example I couldn't get into Lost when it was on TV. Now I'm watching the dvds of season 1, and I'm liking it.

shaq fu. All of the BB stores near me are sold out of all of the 24 seasons, and i am not about to drive out to the valley or to burbank to get these.

I picked up s5 at target for $25. I could try pricematching at cc i guess, but they will call the BB stores to confirm the price and that it is in stock, and it isnt in stock so shaq fu.

edit: waitaminute, if i order a backordered item online, they will fill it in a week or two and give me the sale price? and how do i get free shipping? is there a code for that?

It's YMMV on whether or not they'll call to check. If I did my research right, Circuit City, WalMart, and Sears will all price match this. Just keep trying until someone does it no-questions-asked.
